@manjublgr There are breweries which add no sugar. By reversing the mandatory disclosure, the government is doing a dis-service to beer drinkers.

The more regressive move by Karnataka govt has been the withdrawal of mandatory sugar disclosure on the beer label. It was sighted as the reason for fall in sales & since the govt is more addicted to alcohol than the people, it agreed. 8% sugar is >50 gms in a 650ml bottle!
