@drpoco Do it! Best thing ever. This is mine. 10 months old. You can still do lots of socialising - it’s not all about meeting other dogs and people. Get them used to being alone. There’s an excellent FB group called ‘Dog Training Advice and Support’

@Andrew32385819 @sainsburys @sainsburys same for me..... Website and app not working ‘down for maintenance’. Phones too busy so cut off. Half way through amending order for tomorrow....

@sainsburys well done. Online ordering has crashed. Just in time for a delivery tomorrow! Also no way to book for next week. I'm shielding so don't want to attend your uncontrolled stores.

@trishgreenhalgh Thanks @trishgreenhalgh. You’ve done amazing work throughout this pandemic, as well as being a great advocate for those of us with long covid. So awful to lose your Mum to the same illness. Our thoughts are with you

Our thanks to @amcarmichaelMP for raising doctors' experiences with #LongCovid in Parliament today. There needs to be far greater recognition of its lasting effect on people’s health. Read more in @TheDrMagazine: bma.org.uk/news-and-opini…

Any sight of COVID19 funding support for Primary Care as we move into winter 2020? - we are already seeing increased costs for PPE , isolation cover and further adaptations to buildings. Current support offered ended 1st Aug @NikkiKF @MattHancock #primarycare

Lots of talk about 60,000 #longcovid sufferers in the UK. Are we sure about this figure @timspector? Did 90% really recover after 3 months or did their fatigue extend to daily app logging? We aren't convinced: more research needed to #countlongcovid before this number sticks

Hello @DHSCgovuk, please send a text message to every person who tested positive for covid in the Test & Trace service between its start end May till July. Ask one question: “Are you back to your baseline health status before infection?” One text. Do it and let’s #CountLongCovid

Asking governments to #CountLongCovid is not scaremongering. It’s fact finding. What is the % of those infected who can’t go back to their usual activities of work & care for months? All the pitching of health against the economy would be so meaningless if the % is significant.

#bmjcovid @timspector on symptoms associated with #LongCovid - persistent cough, SoB, hoarse voice, headache, gastro. They can predict who will get it with 75% accuracy #LongCovid is twice as common in females than males. Different clusters in different age groups.

Rising number of confirmed #COVID19 cases with low admissions & deaths is only good news if there was no #LongCovid. Until we understand what’s causing the prolonged ill health in some of those infected, how it can be treated & what’s the prognosis, rising infections is bad news.

“We must move long-haul COVID from anecdote to something that is routinely quantified and monitored, as is currently being done with deaths and positive tests.”

Dr Nisreen Alwan @Dr2NisreenAlwan makes the crucial point that we still don't have a proper case definition for *recovery* from #COVID19. Which means we're not properly able to assess morbidity #LongCovid thelancet.com/journals/lance…

I feel like a broken record but here goes, only looking at deaths from #CV19 underestimates the pandemic implications. Many previously healthy people with #LongCovid unable to return to work/caring for months. Unless we properly measure the problem we're always playing catch up.
