Recent study reveals that tamarind may help remove microplastics from body.
Microplastics are now found in blood, lungs, and even the placenta — raising urgent health concerns worldwide.
But a new lab study has given hope: tamarind, a fruit commonly used in South Asian and African diets, may help the body flush out microplastic particles naturally.
Researchers found that compounds in tamarind bind to tiny plastic fragments, allowing the body to excrete them through the digestive system. While the findings are early and based on lab results, they point toward a simple, dietary solution to one of the most alarming modern health threats.
If further research confirms these results in humans, tamarind could become a natural detox ingredient in diets worldwide, helping millions reduce their plastic burden without drugs or surgery.
