Went to a petrol pump in Jalandhar to get my car’s PUC done. He took my phone number, clicked a photo of the back of my car, and issued the PUC, duly signed and stamped. No checking. I asked, “Check nahi karte aap?” He said, “Aap bolo to kar lete hain.” I replied, “No, it’s okay.” Thank you, Central Pollution Control Board, for the ease of documentation. No fear of the car failing the pollution test, no noisy exhaust checks, no lengthy process. Just pay ₹100 and receive a fresh pointless PUC within minutes.

I was shocked to see this video that is spreading quickly on social media. This is the reserved forest of Khalanga in #Dehradun and the video is courtesy Ms Deepshikha Rawat Verma. The person in the white T shirt says that he is a contractor and Ashok Agarwal of Rishikesh is the owner of 40 bighas in this reserved forest. When you see the video, you will notice a very prominent gate that has been put in the reserved forest. For information, I have spoken to the Head of Forest Force, Govt of Uttarakhand this evening and requested that their department look into this. I hope that we get to know quickly what's really going on in this case. If I hear something crucial, I will surely share with you!
