SDK 56 is stable. Time to upgrade. Last release was the first time we recommended the official Upgrade Skill and the results were staggering. So we're recommending it again. We know a lot of you have complex apps that require a more hands on approach so we put together a full upgrade guide ↓

@betomoedano 1,5,8,9(best practices) as it’s easy to make something with agent but you also need to know if written code is actually good

📢 I'd love your input a lot of devs are using AI to write code now, so I'm rethinking what learning materials should even look like if I'm teaching you something new, what actually helps you the most? reply with the numbers that resonate: 1. an agent skill to implement the feature 2. a ready-to-paste prompt that helps your AI build the topic with you 3. the full video script to paste into your AI 4. conceptual overviews, no code, just the mental model 5. code examples you can copy and adapt 6. a small project per topic, end to end 7. a cheat sheet you can reference later 8. just the video, same as today 9. something else (tell me) reply "1, 3, 6" and that's plenty 🙏

I built Strava-style route animation using RN Skia 🎨 and Reanimated 4 🐎 In just 10 seconds, see your route and where you ran faster or slower — all from a GPX file. GPX coordinates → smooth pace-accurate motion. Lots of math. See it yourself below 👇

Huge tutorial dropping tomorrow on youtube 🥳 It's react native, but not for mobile. Can you guess what platform it targets?

Yesterday I did some code maintenance on my AI tattoo app. I made some changes that required looking at the entire codebase and refactoring piece by piece. For instance, I migrated to: - react-native-ease - react-native-pulsar - native colors - removed a bunch of dead code I’m surprised to say that all that work only took one afternoon. I didn’t write anything by hand. I just used the agent skills provided by each package. I don’t even know how to create a simple haptic with Pulsar because I didn’t really read the docs lol. I did tweak some values manually to get exactly what I wanted tho. Maybe that’s the new normal. Do I really need to memorize every library I use? The app definitely feels faster and smoother. Wild times.

My first time hitting $102K in sales and I’m still a little shocked. - 1.5K likes - 1.5K bookmarks - 5.7K new followers - 448K views. I did not expect this kind of reaction. The post came out more emotional than I planned, I was just riding the wave.

Seeing $100k+/month in revenue for the first time 🚀 Crying from happiness. It took me 2.5 years to reach this. From zero. Had to go through hell: account deletion, lawsuits, losses, debt, frozen accounts, countless mistakes. Just believe in yourself and don’t give up. You can work in public. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. That’s how you find what works. And the most unusual part, you can scroll through my entire X. I documented every step. What I shipped, what I tested. You can watch the video about me. @adamlyttleapps made a great episode, and nothing has changed since then. I just keep hitting the same point, slowly but consistently, and it’s starting to pay off.

I decided to do something different this time. Before making this game public, I want to invite some people to Testflight testing. It'll help me understand and potentially improve this game pacing. If you'd like to test Rancher Days (yep, i changed the name), link below.

Last year I've finally watched Yellowstone and really enjoyed it. Then 1883 blew my mind and 1923 was good too. That's why I got inspired and @schlimmson's Tiny Harvest app gave me a nudge to build a ranch idle game. Dusty Trails coming soon for Testflight testing.

How to build your React Native & Expo app locally (APK and .app) Sometimes you need a quick apk or .app to share with your team, run e2e, etc. Once your ios/ and android/ folders are generated, you already have everything you need to produce release artifacts with xcodebuild and gradlew directly. Here's how 👇 (claude skill included)

@ItsHeisenberg04 Nobody force you to use EAS or OTA or services. I do my own deployment with backend team. No need for OTA if QA do it’s job. Lately I am using more native things and expo doesn’t slow me down. Expo is for app only it’s wise to never lock you to these vendor stuffs.

If you’re starting a new mobile app in 2026, you should think twice before choosing Expo. I learned this the hard way after building with it. Here’s what nobody tells you 👇

@plahteenlahti I tried the same recently I know some swiftUI and don’t know anything about kotlin but got good result. But for me it’s still better to have shared logic in hooks etc. But yes it is possible as ai get better and better. I used cursor to covert.

AI is going to kill react native, just for the fact that at this point its easier to ask Claude to convert a iOS app in swift to android app in kotlin, than to get working ripple animation in react native

@expo is great but I think I will never use @rnfirebase ever again. 4 hours lost and still can’t make upgrade it to work on SDK 54 and I still didn’t started modular api migration 😤 in every project this library always make a real mess

Thanks to @expo skills one shot upgrade done. My project depend heavy on @rnfirebase it would be great if there can be found some agent skill to upgrade to modular api.
