@JonBbC_TechGeek I just used it today to take me to/from a testing center. Man it makes the ride a heck of a lot more relaxing.

What would be really interesting would be if Tesla decided that FSD on HW3, which is running a much simpler and proven model, was more adequate for solving Unsupervised. And they suddenly went back to it. Hey, it could happen. FSD 12.6.4 performance is incredible on so many levels.

Allow me to reintroduce myself to everyone on here. ❤️ My name is Jon. 👋 My passion is Tesla and Self-Driving cars! I live in Chicago, I speak Japanese, my wife is Japanese, and I have 3 daughters. My hobbies include origami, golf, content creation on my TechGeek Tesla channels, video editing, clarinet and finance. I’m an OG FSD tester with a little car icon at the top of my screen to report issues directly to Tesla! I’ve been testing since October 2021. 😉 I majored in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan. I work with industrial automation (robots, programmable controllers, touchscreens, motors) and I love learning new things & meeting new people! Hopefully I’ll get a chance to meet you at a future Tesla event in the USA 🇺🇸, Japan 🇯🇵 or other country.

I spent the last 4 months studying for one of the most difficult IT certification exams: The Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Some people spend thousands of dollars on bootcamps, books, and practice quizzes for this exam. I passed it on my first attempt. · No textbooks · No money spent on study materials · No locking myself away on evenings/weekends How? Every time I drove somewhere, I mounted my phone and played free courses from LinkedIn & YouTube while my Tesla drove itself via its Full Self-Driving (Supervised) software. Most of the time I was just listening to the course audio, but occasionally I'd quickly glance at my phone to see a chart or figure. And it felt 100% safer than when I used to get sucked into fiction audiobooks while driving my gas car on my early morning commute. I feel like I've unlocked a superpower. What exam should I go for next?

@billykyle What’s your setup look like? I’ve got a crude one I’m editing and it doesn’t look nearly as good. I think I should have used Timelapse mode on my GoPro or lowered the frame rate I was capturing.

Over the past two days, I drove my Tesla Model S Plaid (HW3) more than 350 miles through the stunning, winding mountain roads of Yosemite National Park, and here’s how Full Self-Driving performed: In short: incredible. I only got the infamous “Red Hands of Death” once, right before entering a tunnel with sunlight hitting the windshield head-on. There was some phantom braking here and there, likely caused by shadows cast by trees, which was mildly annoying but never enough to ruin the drive. Despite those quirks, FSD made the trip significantly more enjoyable than driving manually. The system handled curves, climbs, and descents with impressive ease. If you ever get the chance, let FSD take the wheel to and through Yosemite. You’ll be blown away.

@BeardedTesla I really hope they can expand their service area to at least match Waymo’s geofence in Austin by end of year.

It’s time to revisit and celebrate! Although there are still 4 more days in June, Tesla did indeed launch RoboTaxi. No driver in drivers seat ✅ (Only a temporary safety observer present) Any route in Austin ✅ (You can go anywhere within the geofence, just like Waymo; Not limited to just a few pre-designated locations) Tesla bears responsibility for accidents ✅ (Straight forward since passengers don’t have to pay any attention) In June ✅ (First public rides started at about 2 pm CT on June 22nd) The Tesla team has done something incredible. Although it’s late in many regards, it is here. Tesla seems to be following initial safety practices of other Autonomous operators and playing it safe and slow with the rollout. This is obviously the right move, and so far, it seems to be performing quite well. There will always be opportunity for improvement along the way, just like Waymo continues to improve their models. But with Tesla now here, we finally have a player that can actually scale!

No driver in the drivers seat? Any route in Austin? Tesla bears responsibility for accidents? I'm so confident that real "FSD Unsupervised" wont exist in June that ill up my end of the wager to $10k to the charity of your choice. Remember elon hasn't shown up to work in 6 months

NJ Tesla turnpike strike UPDATE! Please share with anyone you know in or near NJ! I haven’t used it since I called for a strike, but here’s an update: Tesla chargers removed… Fewer new apple green chargers have gone up, and with extremely limited NACS ports (1-2 per rest stop)!!! 😡 This is pure corruption and spits in the face of sustainable transport @GovMurphy you should be absolutely ashamed of yourself.
