It's not meant to be seen in detail, the idea on AoS centerpiece models is for them to be very visible on the board, because they often see major play. It allows people to easily distinguish who's a bigger threat than who through visual language.

I know people glaze them endlessly and this is probably a super unpopular opinion but as techincally impressive as the AoS minis are I feel like a lot of them are very messy, feels like there's no focal point so when I look at some of them my eyes just glaze over.

The Daemonculaba is definitely peak 40K in being cartoonishly grimdark.
However I will say that this type of grimdark has no effect on me bc of how over the top it is. It doesn’t disturb me. It makes me cringe. It’s the same as Berserk with it’s cartoon villains making it really hard to take serious.
But 40K has the excuse that it’s not meant to be totally serious all the time so I agree that the Daemonculaba is peak grimdark tho it is also the reason why I don’t love grimdark myself.

2 - most of the confusion/debate of what to do stems from cost/gain analysis, oaths and one of the cores disagreeing with the others.
3 - are you sure those aren’t just referring to specific kindreds rather than the Kin as a whole?

How about a fun post about a certain quote? There is an old and famous Asuryani quote that's supposed to go hard:
"The stars once lived and died at our command, and you dare to oppose our will"
(picture related) is how I imagine the major factions of 40K to react to this boast, since all but a few once could destroy stars or still possess the technology to do so.
I will go over the factions one by one.

What new Votann rise even start as insane off the bat! They have exactly ONE hope, the Somnant, which they don't even know if it works.

@AzoreesFelic @shas_kais The Votann have been going out for millennia and they are the cornerstone of Kin civilisation. Without those they have no guide, no tech, no reproduction, no afterlife and no navigation. This is a cataclysm, and they are simply unable to do anything about it.

@shas_kais @AzoreesFelic It is compensated by two things. Kin are insular, only adventuring outside of the galactic core for expeditions, though this has changed now that the Great Rift has danaged their Holds. And the Votann are degrading faster than ever, leaving them on the brink of collapse.
