Jerry once - in the middle of a conversation - took a piece of paper out of his pocket, unfolded it, and presented it to me in order to show off his weekly teaching/lecturing travel schedule at multiple art colleges across the country. I think it was meant to show how busy and important he was at the time. So odd.

Got around to going through some marketing emails from people I follow and love their stuff but don't always have the time to engage as much as I'd like. Here are sore lessons from one of @wahnish's emails: "1. Infrastructure beats brute force Working harder doesn’t scale. Building tools that make the work easier does. 2. The 3-5 year window is real Right now, you can build sophisticated software with AI assistance that would have required a full engineering team 2 years ago. This window won’t last forever. Use it. 3. Strategic delays compound into speed Missing a deadline to build infrastructure feels bad in the moment. But if that infrastructure 10x’s your output for the next year, it’s the right trade. (couldn't agree more) 4. Focus is the ultimate competitive advantage. The hardest part isn’t building the tools. It’s not getting distracted by every shiny new AI project that drops. 5. Build for yourself first. We've done this alot at @BlueBoxGC in prep to launching @RealmStriders this year and @wahnish has built this create tool gridzilla.xyz for assisting in AI story boarding and film making that will save you time and money in your creative endevors. If you like these let me know! I think I'll start highlighting some of my favorite builders and talent in this fashion. Another example of using masking to add elements into a scene. For this one, I used ComfyUI with Wan 2.2 Animate and masking to fill in the area where Wolverine’s mask would be. For me, using AI in subtle, surgical ways is the key. It helps keep things more convincing instead of feeling overdone. I know people will nitpick it, and that’s fine. I’m just excited to explore what feels like the future of VFX.

Hey @framer_x , saw your post about the Cartoon Hero character module. I’m a longtime animation + character designer (Marvel, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim), and lately I’ve been shipping AI-generated animated episodes regularly at @AdultFantasyHQ. A lot of what you’re building overlaps directly with problems I’ve already had to solve in production...especially character consistency and grid-based workflows. I ended up building a free tool (Gridzilla) just to keep AI storyboard grids and shots usable at scale. If it’s useful, I’m happy to share how I’m handling these in real production or jump in with input on the module itself. Either way, solid work on Cartoon Hero!

@Kneon Dude, THIS. Some of us remember the outcry over Photoshopped work, then 3D. Same arguments were made against the printing press vs handwritten parchment. In one generation, this argument will look silly.
