The hammer imagery becomes even more sinister and alarming now I read of how Ann Widdecombe was murdered. Why aren't these men being stopped? Are they even under any kind of surveillance?

The Crown Prosecution Service has confirmed our dear friend Ann Widdecombe was eating lunch when Joshua Kerry allegedly arrived at her house and entered through the front door.
He then allegedly hit her on the head with a hammer 21 times.
Before allegedly driving off.
Why did the police and Keir Starmer tell Nigel Farage it was a “burglary gone wrong”?
The authorities had better preserve all files and records.
As Home Secretary in a Reform government I will take a keen interest in all communications in those initial hours.
I will ensure the public learns the truth.

A little old lady. Defenceless. Trusting. Just living a pleasant life without fear. Utterly grim.

@BBCNewsnight Honestly 🙄- it’s unbearable. We just want competent people doing a good job - is it too much to ask for?

🔥 Jeremy Hunt gave Zack Polanski a few home truths to his face on last night’s Peston.
The former Conservative Chancellor went straight for Zack Polanski when asked about a potential wealth tax:
Peston: “How worried would you be that if one of his earlier acts were a wealth tax that actually that would drive quite a lot of investment offshore?”
Hunt: “I would be extremely worried and I think Zack’s views are totally economically illiterate.”
Hunt then laid out exactly why it would be “incredibly damaging” — killing investment, driving wealth offshore, and hammering growth.
Polanski just sat there stone-faced the whole time 😂
Finally someone said it to his face. Hunt speaking for millions who actually understand how economies work.

@andrew_lilico I believe she omitted to declare this when she came to office- that was part of the problem

🚨 Ladies, brace yourselves. Yvette Cooper, the woman who couldn’t bring herself to define ‘woman’ and called it a ‘rabbit hole’ now wielding power in government.
While her party boss declared “trans women are women”, Cooper dodged like a pro. No defence of biological reality. Just more spin.
Her son? A loud trans activist who heckled politicians pushing back on gender ideology in schools. Apple doesn’t fall far.
Now imagine her influence over health policy: male-bodied patients in female wards, erasing sex-based care, and putting women & girls last.
The Uk didn’t fight for single-sex rights just to watch Labour install more ideologues who think sex is a feeling.

@RyanShorthouse She didn’t declare it - that was the problem

I think it’s wrong to keep describing Louise Haigh MP as a convicted fraudster.
She committed a crime 13 years ago. The crime she committed, for which she received one of the lowest possible sentences - a conditional discharge, does not preclude her from doing the job she has been appointed to. She made a mistake and she should be allowed to move on from it.
Those in public life should be showing that those who have committed relatively minor crimes eventually have a route to a successful life without stigma.
