@leenyburger A friend that moved from NYC to KC was shocked most by work invites to a "1pm meeting" was never actually starting at 1pm. I do feel like online meetings are more on time, but invariably there's someone that rolls in 2-5 minutes late.

@housecor I have .local_port in all my projects and an alias to start the project using the port in that file.

Problem: If your app selects any open port when you start it, you can end up looking at the wrong port in the browser if you already have the app running in another terminal.
Solution: Force your app to always start on the same port.
Vite example: vite --port 3000 --strictPort
