Tomorrow I am planning to take a train to work. Just in case any of my trolls were planning on giving their brain cell a day off.

Hello @greateranglia and @firstdirect ! Why is it that when I park at Manningtree or other stations the debit card debit comes up as “Sunny Isles Beach Parking”? Are you gaslighting me or is it a takeover????

@cristo_radio @GWRHelp Haha - actually the conductor on this train was very nice. She had her job cut out for her. She even helped me with my bag. @GWRHelp Whoever was conducting on the 1:19 from Par to Paddington deserves a pay rise!

@WestminsterWAG I once had to sit on the floor by the loo of a @GWRHelp packed service to Cornwall. I was moved by the conductor as I hadn’t realised I was sat on the floor outside the first class toilet. This wasn’t allowed as my ticket was only valid for Standard class.

I just think that if you pay for a ticket, you ought to get a seat. Is that so mad? Also, the reason I was going home early is because I have bronchitis and was feeling quite ill. Sometimes plans change, and there's not a lot that can be done about it. If train companies know that certain days are especially busy they should lay on extra carriages. Apart from everything else, it's quite stressful for their staff, who have to deal with disgruntled passengers. Not me, I should add. I just complained to the management.

I have never had sinusitis before. Does it generally make you feel like you head is about to implode and all your teeth fall out?

@MichaelRosenYes Lots of outlets for expressing concern peacefully and respectfully: social media (Facebook, X, instagram, Tik Tok) as well as the time honoured letters to MPs, ministers, newspapers.

Let's assume the 'marches' are banned. Where would this leave anyone wanting to protest about what's going on in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon and Syria?

@MonkEmma Train was not showing as full, and I had an open ticket. If train companies know there is extra demand, they should lay on extra carriages. Not complicated.

Wow - that’s quite something…🙄 Books a train on BH Mon from Cornwall to London Decides to get a different train - that is clearly already full. Complains PUBLICLY to her 60K followers, tagging the train company, that there were no seats on the full train she hadn’t booked on to!

@MonkEmma Usually tickets with reservations are for that train only. I would be curious to know whether @WestminsterWAG travelled with a valid ticket.

@I_amMukhtar Sorry, how does this make me look like a fool? Lots of people in similar situations - many of them families with young children. Are they all fools too? Is that what you are suggesting?

Sarah Vine had a seat reservation for a later train, but she took an earlier one and then went on Twitter to make herself look like a fool.

Kemi’s media interview today was interrupted by the kind of people that shout loudest at the Hate Marches. You know, the ones that aren’t polite enough to wait ‘til the end, then ask a question, then to actually listen to the answer. This is what happened.

THIS COMING FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, May 8th/9th, I am once again riding the annual "Duchenne Dash" – cycling from London to Paris in 24 hours to raise money for Duchenne UK. The Dash began in 2013, happens every year – and I've ridden every one. This year, to mix it up a bit, I'm on a tandem, joined by one of my oldest friends, Serge Kogan, who has just flown in from California, at his own expense, to do this ride with me. Today, straight from the plane, Serge travelled from Heathrow to Saffron Walden and headed out with me on "The Beast" - my trusty two-handed bicycle. This is his first time on a tandem - and he is a little nervous about riding this machine 300km with me in 24 hours. It's a long way -and riding a tandem up hills (including the South Downs) is tough, given that you can't stand up on the pedals. But we have a few rides pencilled in before Friday, and I'm sure he'll be OK ... if a little saddle-sore by the time we reach the French capital. Please support this worthy cause if you can – every penny is gratefully received – and help the superb parent-run charity Duchenne UK continue to fund the development of treatments for a particularly nasty and fatal form of muscular dystrophy. justgiving.com/page/liam-hall…
