Angels are spiritual beings that eat, drink, fight, play instruments, keep written records, fly in aerospace vehicles, and engage in sexual intercourse. I don't think "spiritual" means what we think it means.

@itsAntWright The award is not MVP it is player of the year. Those are 2 different things. You can say Fears is the MVP given where MSU would be without him while also saying Yaxel is the best player in the conference

@RaphealDavis3 I do the superman vs goku mindset. Could superman beat Freeza/Cell/Buu? No, if Yaxel and Fears switched spots Michigan is undefeated and MSU is probably with a few more losses. Look at who Fears backup is yet they only lost 5 games. Its night and day.

@BrooksAustinBA @davidpollack47 Lineman also need to be built. You can’t build an O line through the portal consistently in my opinion. You need to stash guys away for 3 years and develop them. The problem is guys don’t want to wait and they can leave so…

@gwizzy12 I actually think it’s been fine. We were struggling with Fears getting downhill before the defense was set. This makes him slow down

@tbeindit If they are young and good the NFL will be an allure. If they are old they don’t have a ton of time left. The “lifers” at 1 school aren’t really a thing anymore.

95% of coaching hires (even the good ones) are at their schools for less than a decade in this era. Never understood the obsession with hiring young so they can “be around for the long haul” — most will be gone way, way before that.
Anthony Broome@anthonytbroome

A lot more coming today if this does indeed speed up, as signs indicate. Kyle Whittingham is what we called a "Pete Carroll 66" the other day. There's a non-zero chance you can get 7-8 years out of this guy. GM/coordinator hires will be key. But physicality and poise are back.

@Wiesnoski @RaphealDavis3 They pure points allowed number should not be the metric. Michigan plays very high possession games. Generally a team with Michigans level of defense likes to slow it down. They do not. The points per possession number is a better metric to look at.

@RaphealDavis3 Michigan is good inside with Mara, but shouldn’t a top defensive team (of all time? ;-) rank higher than 45th in points allowed, 124th in steals? They’re not as good on the perimeter as recent Baylor/Houston squads.

After the OSU FG, it’s 3rd & 5. The left side of the line holds up, but the right side does not. My bigger concern is, who is Bryce supposed to throw to? If you’re expecting 2 TEs to out-play that secondary without the help of a pick or some sort of mesh… IDK man

“I heard the bullet slap him, and when I turned, Dan grabbed him as he started to fall, and I jumped down on top of Charlie to cover him because where we were was just concealment. I shoved my hand into the wound and it squirted through my fingers, and when I jumped down on him, he had doll’s eyes. These are wounds incompatible with life.”

@JorieAulston Gunna need to do something to control the numbers in the box. I agree with Downs take but have to keep them honest somehow. Going to be difficult even with good numbers given how good Reese has been.

@WesleyLHuff Isn’t there some question of what city either of the Pharaohs ruled from? If I recall one was ruling from Thebes during that time period which would make Moses and Aaron’s journeys back and forth sort of farfetched.

Which Pharaoh is the Pharoah of the exodus? There are two primary scholarly perspectives on the identity of the Pharaoh: 1) A late exodus date around 1270 BC, which would make Seti I the Pharaoh of oppression and Ramesses II the Pharaoh of the Exodus, or 2) An early exodus date around 1446 BC, which would identify Thutmose III as the Pharaoh of oppression and Amenhotep II as the Pharaoh of the Exodus. Amenhotep II reigned over Egypt beginning around 1450 BC during the powerful 18th Dynasty of the New Kingdom, and according to a chronological match between Egyptian king lists and the Bible, which occurred approximately in 1446 BC. Amenhotep II is depicted in ancient texts as a strong warrior who made several campaigns into Canaan and then abruptly stopped his military activity. Interestingly, the Dream Stele of his son Thutmose IV indicates that Thutmose IV was not the firstborn son—a possible allusion to the biblical tenth plague on the firstborn of Egypt. Seti I was the Egyptian king of the 19th dynasty who reigned from approximately 1290 to 1279 BC. He was the real founder of the Ramessid dynasty’s greatness and is considered by many scholars to be the greatest king of the 19th dynasty, despite his son Ramses II being more famous. Seti was instrumental in promoting Egypt’s prosperity by fortifying frontiers, opening mines and quarries, digging wells, and rebuilding temples. He continued work on the great hypostyle hall at Karnak and created a memorial temple at Abydos dedicated to Osiris and six other deities, which was decorated with delicate reliefs. He was particularly focused on reaffirming Egyptian control over Canaan and challenging the Hittites for control of the Levant. During his first campaign in 1291 BCE, he defeated the Shasu pastoralists in northeastern Sinai and made a show of force along Canaan’s main military routes. His tomb in the Valley of the Kings is considered the finest in the location. Here’s a pic of me in Seti’s tomb in the Valley of the kings. Who do you think was the Pharoah mentioned in the exodus story?
