Update: Anthropic also seems to be supporting Illinois bill SB 315. Anthropic's state and government affairs lead James Hartmann spoke in favor of the bill earlier today: "We want to thank Senator Edly Allen for introducing SB315. As we mentioned in the AI subject matter hearing a few weeks ago, Anthropic supports policy that requires AI labs at the frontier to be transparent on their safeguards to protect Americans from catastrophic risk that could arise from their models." Seems like a v positive signal for the bill to get anthropic and openai on board

The future of technology shouldn’t just be more engagement. It should help us be more human.
