The Vegas Golden Knights appealed the NHL’s punishment in person this morning. It was determined that the penalties - a $100,000 fine for John Tortorella and loss of a second round draft pick - will remain as assessed.

Jim Hiller would not be my first choice,
But he’s above Berube.

Based on what I continue to be told by multiple sources, nothing has changed and Vegas has not granted permission for Edmonton to speak with Cassidy.

If the Oilers are doing their due diligence, it better not be Craig Berube only. They have to interview Peter Laviolette, DJ Smith, Jim Hiller, maybe even try with Jay Woodcroft again.
Consult David Carle and maybe interview Misha Donskov for a head coach chance.
