I don’t understand how this happened. The SYD to BNE leg is a domestic flight so no duty free would have been available. In any case, it’s the traveller’s responsibility to ensure that they comply with the rules (even though they may be stupid) and it’s not Virgin’s issue.

Having Bahrain and UAE join the initiative to open the Strait of Hormuz is a clear sign that the regional powers are finally picking a side. If more countries from the 35 invited actually sign on then Iran is going to find itself completely isolated both militarily and diplomatically.
