@WorldByWolf One correction: It's the college educated, professional class of the Boomer Generation. Roughly 1/3rd of them. Don't hate the the other 2/3rds.

Boomers as a generation are just the worst. My parents are boomers so no I’m not saying they’re all bad but as a whole they are just the worst people. Selfish, arrogant, patronising, destructive, solipsistic, self-righteous, feudal, and they destroyed centuries of social fabric.

Canada banned therapists from helping kids to understand the truth about their sex, and all of our politicians voted for it, including the Conservatives. The ban doesn’t just apply to therapists. Anyone, including parents, can be charged with the crime of conversion therapy for helping a child to avoid having body parts cut off and being sterilized. We are so far behind the U.S. in fixing this. We are, in fact, behind every country in the world.
Tom Cotton@SenTomCotton

Colorado banned therapists from telling kids the truth: you cannot change your gender, and gender-transition surgeries are dangerous and harmful. This was unconstitutional censorship of the worst kind. I commend the Supreme Court for ruling decisively in favor of free speech and common sense.

OOOOOOPS! HEALTH Canada has stated that it left a freezer door open causing them to lose 20 Million dollars worth of specialty drugs. No doubt the tax payer will cover that and those drugs will now be in higher demand. Canada. What the actual fuck are we doing ?????

Does stopping and reading this post qualify as “doomscrolling”? It feels very doom like, it doesn’t qualify under the “staying informed” category so whatever you do boomers do not treat it like those Jesus videos you find at 2 AM. Do not forward it, like it or otherwise engage with it, because by doing so you are indeed proving that boomers arent really very good at this.

🚨 Let me explain what's actually happening > The generation that told us phones would rot our brains is now doomscrolling harder than their grandkids > They spent 20 years saying "get off your phone" "go outside" "you're addicted to that screen" "back in my day we talked to each other" > Now grandma is on her iPad at 2am watching AI generated Jesus videos and sharing posts from accounts that didn't exist last week > The funniest part is they're not even good at it.. Gen Z doomscrolls and knows it's bad for them.. Boomers doomscroll and think they're "staying informed" The generation that banned screen time watches more screens than anyone in the house

BREAKING: Study shows “doomscrolling” is growing amongst boomers, leaving grandchildren concerned.

@BrianSuttererMD This isn’t ‘medical’ advice though. Now if he said take an aspirin and call me in the morning…now THAT would be wrong.

Canada, Pay attention to this. This started as part of the WEF "you will own nothing and be happy" campaign. People who own their homes will be forced to refinance and sell properties they already paid for. This will cause a wealth transfer from the people to the government.
Marc Nixon@MarcNixon24

The Liberal Home Equity Tax proposal would charge Canadians every year based on the value of their home. You don’t need to sell. You pay the tax annually on your home equity. Example in their proposal: Homes over $2M → ~$14,700 per year. Your home becomes a taxable asset.

Great observation. How cute to assume that in 20 -30 years the government will allow retired folks options to stay in a house at all. Based on their sudden loss of contributions to the tax base, expect a mandatory review of health, wealth and environmental factors and if they dont meet the threshold… panelling for MAIDS.

What will happen in Canada 20-30 years from now when our current working class needs bungalows for their retirements and all we have is a bunch of 2 storeys and stacked towns?

I often find myself changing words and phrases in writing generated by my own brain because I think it sounds too much like AI. I don't like this feeling of second-guessing my word choices because I fear reading too much AI-generated text has influenced me.

Question of the day: What is a Canadian? How are we different to the Americans? Aren't we the same culturally? Don't we share the same ancestors? Why do we work for the same corporations? What's the difference?

@KTanner3110 @BuckSexton I do too for tight areas. I also use special paper bags to put the leaves in so as not to use plastic. The leaf blower mulches the rest and considerably reduces the amount of leaves for composting.
