Canada banned therapists from helping kids to understand the truth about their sex, and all of our politicians voted for it, including the Conservatives.
The ban doesn’t just apply to therapists. Anyone, including parents, can be charged with the crime of conversion therapy for helping a child to avoid having body parts cut off and being sterilized.
We are so far behind the U.S. in fixing this.
We are, in fact, behind every country in the world.

Does stopping and reading this post qualify as “doomscrolling”? It feels very doom like, it doesn’t qualify under the “staying informed” category so whatever you do boomers do not treat it like those Jesus videos you find at 2 AM. Do not forward it, like it or otherwise engage with it, because by doing so you are indeed proving that boomers arent really very good at this.

The Liberal Home Equity Tax proposal would charge Canadians every year based on the value of their home. You don’t need to sell. You pay the tax annually on your home equity. Example in their proposal: Homes over $2M → ~$14,700 per year. Your home becomes a taxable asset.

@KTanner3110 @BuckSexton I do too for tight areas. I also use special paper bags to put the leaves in so as not to use plastic. The leaf blower mulches the rest and considerably reduces the amount of leaves for composting.
