@NostalgiaPro Micro Machines V3 always gets overlooked but in my book it’s one of the most adrenaline-pumping games ever made. Could also name a few other games that we in my top 10… such as Worms or Super Puzzle Fighter 😎

Most people rank PS1 games based on pure, unearned nostalgia, pristine jewel case counts, or 30 year old review scores from magazines that don't hold up today. They build these safe, predictable top 10 lists that look exactly the same because they are afraid to challenge the established consensus. This list is going to completely break the brains of traditional purists who think critical acclaim equals elite design, but it is the only accurate evaluation of what actually made this hardware legendary. Top 10 PS1 Games🧵⬇️

@Benleo A bid cowardly. The guy didn't want to speak to her until he was safe inside his large van, ready for a quick getaway. He should grow a pair.

OH DEAR Rachel Reeves heckled by white van man as she visits a petrol station. “Get Starmer out! Get Labour out! You’re ruining the country! Are you going to arrest me for having an England flag? Get Farage in!” She lectures the guy about “manners”

@ClumsyPilot @guy_herbert @peterrhague So if I approach a traffic signal controlled junction where the lights have just changed to green in a car at 30mph, I have the right to ram the cars already waiting or just moving off?!

@guy_herbert @peterrhague He is not undertaking, he is continuing straight and he should be able to do that undisturbed as you would in a car. it’s responsibility of the turning vehicles not to hit anyone

@peterrhague 1. You don’t turn left from an ahead only lane. 2. You wouldn’t turn left from lane 2 or 3. 3. Changing lanes is not the same as turning into a junction.

All those motorists convinced that they can cross a cyclists path whenever they choose to and the bike has to just stop; I’m dying to know how you would turn left from the right lane at this often busy road near Cambridge station. Do you get to ignore the car lane too?

@defencewithac @cammyk_67 @deloreancars No - you’ve read it wrong. It is vehicles turning in general. This is why there is a sentence that starts ‘if you are intending…’ If it was just for cyclists turning left then it wouldn’t mention vehicles turning out of the junction as they’d be no danger to you.

@cammyk_67 @deloreancars Which applies if you're turning left, hence why the rule is called 'turning'. If however you're going onwards: Rule 76 Going straight ahead. If you are going straight ahead at a junction, you have priority over traffic waiting to turn into or out of the side road.

The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than the British or Americans... The French eat a lot of fat and also suffer fewer heart attacks than the British or Americans. The Japanese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than the British or Americans. The Italians drink excessive amounts of red wine and also suffer fewer heart attacks than the British or Americans. The Germans drink a lot of beers and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than the British or Americans. Conclusion: Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what kills you.

As a longtime automotive technician, I have noticed through the years that almost every time manufacturers come up with new and improved it ends up costing the car owner more money. Here is one example. A simple thermostat, which served us fine for years has now been replaced with a water control valve that is actuated by the car’s computer. So we went from a part that cost around $15 to one that now is $250 and up.

@PolitlcsUK @billcurtis0 They should get rid of gardens too. You could easily get another house instead of a garden. Each house could be 50cm away from the next, I’m sure air can still get in.

@JayneShannon @culturalisms2 In effect you do. If you don't remortgage at the end of your deal you get put on the lender's SVR which is swingeingly high in most cases. A remortgage is assessed just as per a new mortgage. Thus if you no longer meet the terms you will in practice have to sell.

The midwife we had after our first was awful - to the point of evil. Wife was in pain from bleeding out on the bathroom floor due to retained products and the midwife (on the phone) said ‘oh it’s because she’s a new mum and not used to it’ 😡 That’s only one example of shocking NHS care over three births… …but TBF, the community midwife and health visitor for our second and third were excellent.

The NHS midwife and health visitor system after a baby is born is one of the most genuinely supportive things this country does quietly and without fanfare. Top notch design 🙏🏼

In the United Kingdom, we’ve managed to achieve communism for 95% of the population. If you have kids, unless you earn more than £80,000 gross, you have the same quality of life as those on benefits. And the government managed it without a revolution. Incredible really.
