Was a delight to visit ‘The Big Picture’ a truly outstanding photo exhibition organised by @wnca_s showcasing the works of some of the finest photojournalists from across the country.
The photographs, which brilliantly captured candid and lively everyday moments from different walks of life, presented a documentary about the cultural vividness and diversity of our people and the unhinged energy that make us Shreshtha Bharat.
I have had the opportunity of knowing several of the photographers, including the highly acclaimed Raghu Rai, personally over the decades and working with them.
A collection of photographs of Indian Prime Ministers particularly captivated me. I reminisced how, before becoming a part of PM Sh @narendramodi Ji’s team and getting the privilege to work closely with the visionary leader, I also got the opportunity to serve during the tenures of eleven other PM’s during my career as an officer of Indian Foreign Service.

We have observed that some political parties have put their posters on the boundary wall of the Press Club of India.
Defacing the property in public view is a punishable offence.
We urge the Election Commission of India and NDMC to take appropriate action against these unlawful activities.

The Press Club of India is shocked to learn about the murder of Bijapur (Chhattisgarh)
based young freelance journalist Mukesh Chandrakar.
We strongly condemn the killing and demand
time-bound action against the perpetrators.
The club also requests the @PressCouncil_IN to take
cognisance of the matter and demand that the state government take appropriate action.
The state government should immediately look into the long standing demand of local journalists to enact a law to protect journalists.

The Press Club of India strongly condemns the attack on @PTI_News reporter Ajeet Shekhawat and video journalist Dharmendra Kumar while they were covering a protest following the arrest of Independent MLA candidate in Tonk district, Rajasthan.
We urge the state government and the local administration to take strict action against the culprits.
The Press Trust of India should also take up the case with the Rajasthan government and provide all sorts of assistance to its journalists.

This is not a complaint it's a pain. If all TV journos are allowed with their mobiles inside #parliament including ANI and PTI then why not us? Why this discrimination? @ombirlakota @loksabhaspeaker @PMOIndia @RahulGandhi @MamataOfficial @yadavakhilesh @Pawankhera

Journo's in parliament being locked in a glass door, not allowed coverage is the same. What taught us that if you don’t stand with whose rights are trampled, the same will happen to you one day!Journalists never supported photographers covering parliament when they were barred.
