SERIOUS QUESTION: “Why is it that it takes 900 years and 5000 impact studies to build high speed rail but a 5 minute city council meeting is all it takes to approve a massive data center?”

@vitt2tsnoc My Mrs is in the unusual position of having had fibroids and also being the surgeon who removes the bleeding things (pun intended). Wouldn’t wish them on anyone.

Whoever said fibroids just cause "heavy periods" has clearly never felt like someone's repeatedly trying to scoop your pelvis out with a fucking fork. I've overdone it on my feet today and I'm genuinely crying with the pain. This is fucking grim.

@Montylockedout That’s ridiculous - the kids suffered quite a bit of distress. If you have the owner details I would consider going legal

@RobertJenrick If these migrants are skilled enough to walk on 20 odd miles of water to reach our shores - perhaps we could boat some of our dead weight scroungers over the other way?

@SineadWatson91 All that walking you do gives you muscle aches. I hear Deep Heat spray formulation works a treat for that.

More unfamiliar faces have started popping up around my town. For the first time, I'm actually considering not walking tonight because I don't know these strange men who hang around in groups. This isn't fair. I shouldn't feel afraid to walk in my own fucking home.

@Poppy_yyyyyyyy Yeah it’s a pretty wild occupation. Their partners also learn top skills - being able to decipher their spouse’s squeaky heliox voices over the phone.

Just landed at London Heathrow after a night flight from Barbados (no sleep) 😴 Full of ideas for progressing the businesses, which is what I love about a holiday - it gives you time to think, but for now please just get me home! 🤪

This is coming to Britain if we do not leave the European Convention on Human Rights. The small boats are just the start. We have to take back control of our own laws and borders or we will lose our country.

Consultant is unhappy I made a complaint to the hospital after going in for a new hip, acquiring a spiral fracture to my femur, untreated for two days, another 6 hrs in surgery to have a thigh length plate screwed in, a scar with 86 staples, and an expected recovery of 12 mths 🤷

I have reported Aamer Anwar to Police Scotland for the speech he gave on Saturday 25th July 2026 in Glasgow Green. His comments go beyond robust political debate and, I believe, have the effect of encouraging hostility towards a section of Scots based on their political views, nationality, ethnicity and cultural identity. In particular, it is abhorrent that he found it acceptable to describe political campaigners as “terrorists” and to make comments on questioning their culture and religion. His words, I have no doubt, will contribute to increased hostility and community tensions and I hope Police Scotland investigate the matter fully.

@CPhilpOfficial I’m pretty sure it all went wrong during your party’s tenure. Under the current management it’s come down. The evidence suggests you might be part of the problem, not the solution. If the current management fail to keep up that reduction - then I’ll think with my vote.

@Montylockedout We’re all digital already. I’d be ok with ID being required for certain state interactions - NHS, benefits, tax office, police, immigration, houses but e.g. being asked to produce it to buy a car, petrol, food, building materials, payments under £4K in cash - nah.

The Gov "wallet" could potentially restrict you from doing all sorts of things in a matter of a few short years if you allow digital ID into your life. It would be the penultimate control measure. I say an emphatic NO 👊

@PolitlcsUK The old money is not going to like that. Especially if the trusts that they traditionally tuck their assets up into to avoid the 40% inheritance tax have to pay it too, on top of their 10-yearly 6%.
