PSA to storm chasers, if you’re considering coming to the Carolinas on Monday…
Currently I-95 has several dozen miles of road construction going on both sides of the interstate running between Florence, SC and Rocky Mount, NC. I-95 is the only SW-NE road not littered with a town every 7-10 miles and a 25-30mph speed limit with 4 town cops drooling to write $400 tickets.
With expected storm motions greater than 50mph combined with the road network and the dozens of small towns, you will only get 1 shot on 1 storm with that shot not being more than 10-15 mins of prime viewing. After that, you’ll spend the next 2-3hrs trying to catch the same storm. And will prolly fail.
I’m not trying to talk anyone out of anything, but I’m just letting you know what you’re getting yourself into.

Who really predicts the weather? Please ask yourself.. how do the meteorologists and the weather apps know so far in advance what is going to happen, often weeks? It's because our weather is fully manufactured and weaponized now! They lie to us about everything!

@wxmattjones A lot of offices made their own logos a while back, they looked amazing. But the higher ups didn’t seem to appreciate it, so we got our hands smacked at the time. A few still use them in certain graphics, which I love.

We each have at least 5-6 computer monitors at our indiv. workstation. Oftentimes we each have 3+ radar views up once, with some even using a 6-9 panel option for all radar heights + products. Also, we have 3 or more people watching radar. Yes, we see what’s on it. Don’t call.

PSA: Thought we wouldn’t have to say this, but please do not call the National Weather Service to report what you see on radar. The radar data comes from the NWS, and forecasters are already watching it. Helpful reports are what’s actually happening where you are: hail size, wind damage, tornadoes, flooding. Calling to interpret radar just ties up phone lines during active weather.
