@DGrayTexas45 Conservatives are so terrified at the idea of Texas turning blue that they have to resort to AI slop because they know there’s no actual controversial shit out there on either of these two outside of republicans having hurt feelings 😂

Imagine paying @kevinxu $200 just to be told to go all in on 1 stock because it worked for him. I went into $IREN in January alongside Kevin. My money would have been better spent on an ETF. Even after the $6B dilution was announced, he kept telling his massive following to stick with the stock. At the end of the day, it’s on you to know who you follow. You’re better off putting that $200 into an ETF and following the right people on X who share free alpha every day. There are a lot of hidden gems on FinX. Some have 300k followers, some have 3k. There’s alpha on both, don’t go blindly following anyone’s advice. PS: $IREN crowd, nothing against the stock. It was a massive win last year. But it’s about knowing when to recommend what. Timing matters. So does owning your losses.

This defensive rep is so unbelievably bad i can’t even begin to comprehend Why is Fland trailing Stirtz around the screen? Why does Lee jump forward for no reason instead of help? Why is the strong side 3 WIDE open? So so so bad i can’t believe it

People will say “he deserves it” because of the crime, and they’re not wrong. But we also need to ask bigger questions. How does an 18-year-old reach a point where armed robbery becomes an option? Is the system only there to punish at the end, or should it also prevent people from getting there in the first place?

NEW: Family of a Texas teen loses it as judge sentences him to 25 years in prison for robbing a convenience store. Judge Raquel West was seen torching 18-year-old Caden James Fontenette before handing out the sentence. "There was a time some years ago that there really wasn't even a question... State's attorneys were recommending youthful offenders probation. Let's give everybody an opportunity..." West said. "You don't have a good likelihood of being successful if I were to put you on probation... I'm going to sentence you to a term of 25 years." Fontenette pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery for a 2025 incident where he and two others robbed a convenience store at gunpoint. The suspects were caught on camera assaulting the store clerk. Fontenette will likely be in his 40s when he is released from prison.

Every day on my way to and from my son's school, I drive by these 3D printed homes in Mueller (a master development in Austin, TX). 1,607 sq ft, 3 bed, 2 bath for $980,609. Icon Build is developing 12 homes on a single block. It's been incredible to watch as they've moved the printer up and down the street, printing one home after another. However, this seems far too expensive!

When I tell people in other countries that Americans vote on Tuesdays, they freak out. “That should be illegal! It makes it so hard for working people to vote!” Yup, that’s the point. Also lines are much longer in poor neighborhoods. In Georgia it’s illegal to give water to someone waiting in line to vote, even if they’ve been standing in the sun for 4 hours. These “Save America” laws have the same intent. Rich people can always get ID and proof of citizenship, but for lower income people it’s often prohibitively difficult. “But in theory it shouldn’t be hard for them to vote because…” Look bro. I’ve gone knocking door to door ahead of elections before. I’ve spoken to hundreds of people who struggle to get to the polls because of these laws and inequities. You may not see it, but I promise you millions of people feel it.
The White House@WhiteHouse

PASS THE SAVE AMERICA ACT! 1. ALL VOTERS MUST SHOW VOTER I.D. (IDENTIFICATION!). 2. ALL VOTERS MUST SHOW PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP IN ORDER TO VOTE. 3. NO MAIL-IN BALLOTS (EXCEPT FOR ILLNESS, DISABILITY, MILITARY, OR TRAVEL!). 4. NO MEN IN WOMEN’S SPORTS. 5. NO TRANSGENDER MUTILATION SURGERY FOR CHILDREN.

This isn’t true at all. The Grand Jury policy started with DA Margaret Moore and was a de facto policy in the final term of DA Rosemary Lehmberg. I handed police shooting cases from 2005 to 2015, and all those cops went before the Grand Jury. How is it no one ever does 10 minutes of research on this stuff ? #txlege
Brooke Taylor@Brooketaylortv

Critics are calling progressive District Attorney Jose Garza’s policy, which requires all officer involved shooting cases to go to a grand jury, outrageous. It comes after reports that the 3 officers who heroically shot and killed the Austin mass shooter would likely face a grand jury. This never implied that the District Attorney was ever pursuing criminal charges. Rather, it is a requirement for all officer-involved shooting cases to be presented to a grand jury in Travis County under the progressive DA Jose Garza (and in many other Texas jurisdictions that I have covered). I just spoke with the attorney hired by the Union to represent the Austin PD officers if the case goes to a grand jury. DA Garza said his office is not pursuing criminal charges and called any counterclaims politically motivated. However, he did not say whether the case will still be presented to a grand jury, as per policy, and the union also remains unsure. The DA office has not responded to my emails requesting clarification. But it is now raising questions about the bigger picture—whether this blanket policy should even be in place. Attorney Doug O’Connell explains that DA Jose Garza instituted this policy after taking office in 2021, reportedly at the direction of Wren Collective, a criminal-justice reform group that provides financial support to progressive prosecutors. He also claims there is no legal basis for the policy and notes that it adds stress to an already stressful job for officers. “Every time they are dispatched to a violent criminal call, they have to be thinking, I could end up dead or indicted,” he said.

“Last game we played them AJ Green got a ton of pin downs (20pts 6/12 3pt on 2/4) and you could see it, they had adjusted. They were going to stay out which allowed us to drive and roll. We just kept telling AJ ‘we’re going to keep running the action but the action is not for you, it’s for us to go downhill and make plays’ and you know we got a lot of our bigs rolling for layups, our guards going downhill and that’s the byproduct of having shooting on the floor.”

What excuse are we making up for this one, folks? 1. While it's nuanced and complicated, special elections actually do have predictive value. 2. Even if they didn't , they are at the very least showing us that our data is correct and Republicans do not want to vote.

🚨BREAKING🚨 Democrats have flipped Precinct 520305 in Oklahoma’s State House District 35 Special Election. Trump won this precinct by 60 points in 2024. Tonight, the Democrat Luke Kruse won it by 15 points. That’s a 75 point swing to the Democrats in one precinct.

Dread it, waive Dame to try and run from it, the gap year has come for the Milwaukee Bucks. That much is not debatable at this point. The question now is will the Bucks lean in and can they sell Giannis on cashing in a lotto pick and a rapid retool. No trade fixes this team.
