Yeah man, nothing says "manly" like living in constant terror of your surroundings.

It's not long now before I set off around the world for @CHCon_nz. Looking forward to seeing friends again.

Another plugin targeted:
“Two days after we closed the Paid Memberships Pro listing in the .org repository, Matt sent a direct message to me (Jason) on the WordPress .org Slack Workspace threatening to “take over your listing and make it a community plugin like we did to ACF”

@LI_politico also like facebook is directly profiting from crime here. imagine if musk robots start mugging pensioners in the street but we just collectively agree we can't do anything about it.
English

@kellie @SlackHQ extremely funny that that shows up in conjunction with a brand new rule against posting Matt's messages to people wordpress.org/news/2024/10/p…
English

When did this happen and was the WordPress community informed that their @SlackHQ instance was upgraded to Business+? Business+ allows exportation of all messages, including private and direct messages.

@teh_aimee I was wondering about this too but everything previous I can find about North Rakaia is vaporware: odt.co.nz/star-news/star…
the govt analysis of that one was pretty scathing: environment.govt.nz/assets/what-go…

This is too fucking hilarious. Classes started a week ago and a school is already debilitated. But #covid is over, right?

@DrCuriosity ah yes Kinetsy, where you can buy a "handcrafted" bus for 10x the ali express price.

@Fran4NZ @liam_jboardman I always find this funny because the experiment was done! They got 1/5 of ALCP’s vote in 2020!

@edmuzik @DrCuriosity $1.5 billion if the stadium doesn’t blow out again. Luckily it’s a fixed price contract now unlike the pool contr- … oh no

Wild that the pool and the stadium will blow out to $1.5 billion but light rail was considered too risky and too expensive
Kamala Hayman@kamala_hayman
Lost for words. Christchurch's new pool could cost nearly $700 million. And not open until late 2025. How did it all go so wrong? thepress.co.nz/a/nz-news/3500…

@JamesW228 @LewSOS I think the key thing though is that National have to actually offer something good enough to make it worth considering! the Hootonesque discourse expecting the Greens to change seems to ignore that National have to change too, and that it'd arguably be easier for them.

Hooton gonna hoot the same hoot he hoots every election nzherald.co.nz/business/elect…
English

@JamesW228 @LewSOS just means it'd have to be a really good deal to win delegates over - PM + a majority in cabinet would certainly tempt people for example.
English

@JesseForWelly A huge gamble and almost certainly a loss of party vote in exchange for an electorate seat is a pretty bad deal under MMP.
English

So. I have gotten up to speed now and it is clear that my gut assessment was accurate: TOP is doing poll data crimes to juice an Epsom-style underdog narrative in Ilam
It's cynical and should disqualify The Opportunities Party from presumptions of good faith in this campaign
Lew@LewSOS
I have not read much coverage about this today so I may be out of line or the point may already have been made: But the stark and self-serving differences between the TOP "internal poll" vibe check & the Curia poll in Ilam looks to me like our first real case of poll data fraud

@markeasterbrook @gtiso that appears to be an ACT banner, judging by the auth statement.

@norightturnnz Looks like the IA's crawler's being blocked by Imperva, which is a web firewall that's used by most NZ govt sites. The odd stuff you see in the wayback machine is what's being served to IA - it include a <meta name="robots" content="noindex, nofollow"> tag to stop archiving
