The next quoted section reads “New Zealand deciding not to join those recognising Palestine risks being seen as tacitly endorsing Israel’s illegal acts.” The Minister is dangerously out of touch. thepost.co.nz/politics/36088…

Who pressured you to lie? What kind of leverage did they exert over you?

@StaceyCeeJay it’s what the PM suggested to me when I asked what he would use to show off NZ if we were hosting APEC

The saddest thing about Fran leaving twitter is that he’s still doing the exact same shitposts on LinkedIn, but getting 5 likes instead of hundreds.

A lot of Waka Kotahi's actions in recent years make more sense when you consider its board chair is somehow even less numerate than me

Some sort of investment fund? This economically illiterate approach pales in comparison to my strategy: spending all of our money on 10 roads

In a letter to Paul Goldsmith, obtained by The Post, ACT’s Todd Stephenson suggested that it may be time to “reconsider whether the BSA continues to serve a useful role”, and raised the prospect of scrapping the authority entirely.

Arena Williams & Steve Abel in particular totally dismantling the bill clause by clause, though, perhaps because of the opportunistic move the opposition MPs seem much more across the detail than the minister in the chair

Shameful day as the government progressed its Marine and Coastal Area Act amendments to restrict the ability of iwi and hapū to have extant customary recognised, despite the Crown winning its Supreme Court appeal of the Court of Appeal’s statutory interpretation of the 2011 Act

Just move bro. Sure you'll have to pay for expensive short-term accommodation, transport and food costs while you compete with hundreds of other applicants for even entry-level work but you'll just have to figure it out. We're back on track BTW.
henry cooke@henrycooke

I asked the Prime Minister what teenagers who live in towns with hundreds of jobseekers but a single digit number of vacancies should do once he takes away their benefit. His answer? Move.

Since the election there are 37,243 fewer 15-19 year olds in filled jobs. The jobs market for young people is as bad - if not worse - than the GFC. So adding 6% to the cost of tuition fees and halving apprenticeship boost support makes like even harder. Brilliant work National.

This creates frankly bonkers outcomes. If one parents works an hour less a week- their child gets $13,942. In fact 1 parent can work 11 hours less a week and the household is still better off. Secondary benefits (like accom. supplement) are likely to stretch that gap even further
