As part of the Women2025+ campaign spearheaded by the Netherlands Ambassador together with five other female ambassadors and their identified male +1s, I partnered with the Danish Ambassador. Among other activities in the initiative, I drew seven cartoons on various women rights issues. Six of them were auctioned yesterday evening at the @DKinUganda Ambassador’s residence, from which about 7.5m was raised. Thanks to all that participated. I had the privilege to decide what the money should be put to. It will be used to buy reusable pads for school going girls in a refugee camp in Adjumani. It has been such an elating experience, a great feeling to be there for the less privileged.

The collections for reusable pads for underprivileged girls are now at 9,552,000/- Keep them coming. Never know, we could even hit a target of 1000 kits. One other encouraging observation I’ve made from the contributions is that they’re mostly coming from men! Thank you. The number is 0750423325

We have hit our modest target of 500 (523) reusable sanitary pad kits. Thank you very much all contributors, and we can still raise more. Special thanks to @CentenaryBank for a generous contribution of 5,100,000/- May you be blessed. That brings our total contributions to 8,892,000/- At a convenient time, the pads will be delivered to underprivileged rural school girls, and I will communicate. Thank you

@nextradio_ug @SpireJim was right in his book "what died when we lived", he wrote that soon, anybody will be suitable for political office in Uganda. Listening to this guy now and then, there is no reason why Ugandans should consider high credentials for one to qualify for office

When I was contacted to help fundraise for Norah Atuhire, my immediate feeling was that I am not doing any other fundraising any time soon. I’m overwhelmed by appeals, and I can only do so much. But today, when I met the lady spearheading the attempt to save Norah’s life, I was deeply touched and had to come here to appeal to your kindness. Norah, a primary teacher and single mother of two, is suffering from a strange disease called Lupus Erythematosus. The disease turns the body against itself, and it fights its own immunity (in lay terms). That is how it deformed Norah from her original self to look like this and suffer excruciating pain. While the disease cannot be cured, she can be treated to get back to normal life with much less pain. The medication to take her back to ‘normal’ is expensive, but we can help her in which ever way we can, They’re looking for about $4,000. See numbers on flyer. NB: Photos shared with her full permission
