What I’ve noticed about Sam Harris types is that they are convinced that no one actually believes in Christianity, but at the same time are convinced that everyone raised Muslim is a radical fundamentalist

He is ALOT MORE combative against Trump and MAGA than any other dem candidate in the last decade and that is not just appealing to the base but as MAGA loses steam is increasingly appealing to moderates

Both successful in navigating California politics. Neither is truly moderate OR progressive. Neither ever won an election outside Cali. Neither all that popular outside the party.

A big reason to be bearish on Newsom is the fact that a lot of Democratic voters seem to like him because they think they see him as electable when he actually is not that at all according to the metrics they’ve heeded in the past.

To me, Newsom is nearly the worst of both worlds.
He upsets the progressives, but he brings ~no benefit with moderates or swing voters. I would much rather have either a solid progressive like AOC or someone with experience winning swing states like Warnock, Ossoff, Beshear.
