@onedery Complete trainwreck. It completely boggled my mind that Albertans (on all sides), that were BIG MAD at the floor crossing somehow gave her a pass when they manoeuvred her into UCP leadership. Memories & attention spans are short?!

Wait times are this long & people often wait longer than medically recommended for scans, sometimes with detrimental impacts. You may not be actively *dying* while waiting (hopefully) but the impacts to quality of life can be very serious!!

So, those who want to destroy our province and our nation lost in court big time. Smith's immediate response is to commit taxpayer funds to pay for an appeal of the decision. It is becoming clearer each day that Smith is the most ardent separatist of them all. #abpoli

Danielle Smith just announced that the GOVERNMENT will be appealing today's decision as undemocratic if you were unsure what side of the fence she is on.

It shouldn't really surprise anyone. You can't just bypass constitutional issues by removing an administrative process designed to review them.

We cannot be assured that ANY referendum question can proceed in October. Yes - even the one I want to vote on, the no-new-coal-mines question. Alberta’s election system is not secure. Full stop.

I wonder how much of #abpoli taxpayer money has been spent on appeasing the separatists. Such a small minority of Albertans too. The legislation changes, ongoing court battles, the town halls, etc. Is this all just to distract from the AHS corruption scandal? How far will it go?

Danielle Smith makes it clear that she will continue to carry water for the separatists. As she does so, let’s remember what Margaret Thatcher said about referendums: they are "a device of dictators and demagogues.” Smith isn’t defending democracy, she’s making a mockery of it.
