Hopefully, @DanAlbas and @PierrePoilievre, who reposted this, are reading the replies. Increasingly, parts of the Canadian conservative movement are sounding like the woke left: justifying bigotry and hate.
The left did it through DEI. Some on the right now do it through anger over mass migration, especially from South Asia. Many openly rationalize ugly behaviour because they believe bad immigration policy excuses it.
What’s extraordinary is how little leadership there’s been from both Conservatives and Liberals on anti-Indian hate over the past 2–3 years. This may be the first time a Conservative MP has addressed it this clearly, and that is welcome.
A serious conservative movement should be able to oppose open border policies without turning entire ethnic groups as the enemy. Otherwise, conservatism just becomes another form of identity politics.

Hard to watch. A road rage incident that turned into an outright racist attack on a family– grandparents and their grandson- in broad daylight in downtown Kelowna. There is no version of Canada where this is acceptable. None. I’m thinking of that family today and hoping they’re safe. If I were Dunkin', I would do the following to crush Timmy's:
- Ban the hiring of any TFWs
- Go to local high schools and pass out applications
