@DudeWhoInvests Miss one CC payment, you’ll understand. As for 6% APY, it’s obviously introductory unless the prime rate goes up substantially.

🚨 BREAKING:
MATT BRUNER DOUBLES DOWN…. AFTER MISTREATING @ScottPresler.
MAKES AN ABSOLUTELY CLASSLESS POST. WHAT AN ASSHAT.
@johnthune @LeaderJohnThune, are you really ok with this?

The Undercurrent@NotTheirScript
MEET MATT BRUNER the arrogant asshole who thought it was okay to treat @ScottPresler like garbage at the South Dakota GOP. He told Scott, who had a ticket for the event, to “get the hell out of here.” THIS IS NOT HOW WE SHOULD TREAT OUR PEOPLE. The funniest part? He tried to back up his terrible attitude by bragging about having 12k followers on Facebook. Mr. Bruner should apologize to Scott Immediately.

@TesCalendar1 I wouldn’t touch it until it’s mass produced and there are some resemblances of a national service center network.
Also, the EV registration would be 2x than ICE.

One comparison I’ve been seeing over and over is the new Slate Blank Slate versus the Ford Maverick Hybrid (including myself). Since they’re both targeting buyers looking for an affordable, practical pickup, I decided to run the numbers.
Using these assumptions:
• 12,000 miles per year
• Home charging at $0.15/kWh
• Gas at $3.50/gallon
• Average maintenance and insurance
• No financing
Here’s what I found:
5-Year Total Cost
🔋 Slate Blank Slate: ~$38,100
⛽ Ford Maverick Hybrid: ~$45,900
Savings: About $7,800 in favor of the Slate.
10-Year Total Cost
🔋 Slate Blank Slate: ~$51,300
⛽ Ford Maverick Hybrid: ~$62,900
Savings: Roughly $11,500–12,000 in favor of the Slate.
Of course, this isn’t the whole story. The Maverick still makes more sense if you regularly tow heavy loads, need a back seat every day, or frequently take long road trips without reliable charging.
But if your driving is mostly commuting, errands, home improvement projects, gardening, or light hauling, the Slate’s lower purchase price, cheaper energy, and reduced maintenance costs give it a surprisingly strong cost-of-ownership advantage.
One big unknown is depreciation. The Maverick has a proven resale history, while the Slate is a brand-new vehicle, so that could significantly affect the long-term economics.
What do you think? Which would you choose?

@BurchetteMason Not possible for use on public roads. Mandatory safety equipment like ABS and airbags require control modules and sensors.

@wallstreetbets Unless they reopen two locations near me asap, I’m not touching it.

@edgecase411 @Tesla_AI I would say the first lane change in front of the semi was borderline illegal in my state. We need to leave more room for the semis.

@SteveOnSpeed Why would I voluntarily pay extra income taxes in my peak earning years? Plus I plan to move to a non-income tax state after the retirement. Do whatever fits your plans. There’s no one size fits all scenario. 55, 59 1/2 and 72t rules exist if you need to withdraw from 401k.
