@sjwhitmore do you usually go composer 2.5 for plan mode and composer 2 to build it?

composer 2.5 is really really great. I had it on last week for some testing, forgot that it was on, & totally didn’t realize I wasn’t on gpt 5.5 (my usual) for a while. the team did a fantastic job!!
Cursor@cursor_ai

Introducing Composer 2.5, our most powerful model yet. It's more intelligent, better at sustained work on long-running tasks, and more reliable at following complex instructions. For the next week, we’re doubling the included usage of the model.

Dear @cursor_ai, I’ve been actively using Cursor for the past 2 years and never switched to Claude Code like many other traitors 😤 Recently I’ve been shipping like crazy, so I upgraded to the Ultra plan… and somehow still managed to almost burn through it in less than 10 days. As a loyal customer, I would highly appreciate some extra credits so I can continue shipping at crazy speeds 🚀 Thank you very much in advance! Your loyal customer, Elitza

holy cope they are further behind than Meta, xAI and all of the chinese labs they will probably only replicate Mythos in 1-2 years
elie@eliebakouch

Arthur Mensch answers to the french representatives: "our (mistral) models are capable of finding all the vulnerabilities found by mythos" "There are obviously people asking if they can buy us. We answer [no] because that's not our mission, and our mission is to be independent, [...] If you succeed, you don't get acquired. If you get acquired, in a way, you've failed" some numbers: > 1B R&D spend at Mistral this year > at Mistral 10% of salary mass is spent on tokens > estimates that 1 employee (in general, not at mistral) will consumes on average ~1kW in tokens per year, which is ~10k$ > 1GW datacenter is $50B capex over 5 years. you can expect to make 2x revenue. electricity captures ~10% of value. > revenue is 30% in France, rest of Europe is ~45%. public sector share is 20% with 10% in France. > a bit less than 30% of Mistral capital is held by US VCs > Mistral's goal is 1GW in 2029 > they train/will train bigger models internally and distill them to serve to customers > Mistral plays only a small part in the 35B investment (by MGX from UAE) in France, in the "campus AI" project announced at the AI summit earlier this year some of their current clusters: > 40MW in France > 25MW in Sweden > 80MW in France (next year) > they train models on "10s of MW", mention that they need the gpu to be collocated to train model > insists on the fact that EU/France advantage for building datacenters is nuclear power, which leads to less carbon footprint

With Cursor Ultra, I feel like I have to either use Opus 4.7 high everytime or just spend every waking hours using Opus 4.7 + Composer 2 in Cloud Agents and just use it 24/7

how do you remove github link in mintlify dashboard? I can't seem to access the raw file since it's locked behind a mitlify UI/UX, and it's in a mintlify controlled repo i dont have access to. I've asked the mintlify AI tool to remove it but it can't seem to do it.

This isn't going to make me friends but: I don't think Web Summit is doing much for Vancouver's early-stage tech scene I walked the floor a bunch this week and did not feel inspired. A big share of the booths were regional governments doing economic development. The local builders actually doing interesting work mostly weren't there. I do think it does a real thing for the established-tech-at-big-companies crowd — networking, panels, lanyards. That's additive for them. But I don't think it encourages the grassroots "let's take big swings and defy the status quo" vibe this city so desperately needs more of Toronto Tech Week is the comparison I keep coming back to. Community-led, dozens of side events run by the people actually building Web Summit does serve a purpose, and there are certainly benefits to it being here But we don't need to outsource our builder credibility to a global conference coming to town. We have the ingredients already.

One year ago, I became Canada’s first Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation. It has been an honour to serve Canadians in this role, and as the Member of Parliament for Toronto Centre, at such an important moment for our country. AI will shape our economy, our democracy and our daily lives. Our job is to make sure Canada leads with trust, ambition and purpose. Proud of what we’ve built. Excited for what comes next. Let’s keep building Canada with steel, concrete and code.

@sjwhitmore How do you incorporate plan mode to Cloud Agents? Do you currently plan it locally and have it implemented in the cloud?

this was quite exciting to work on internally at cursor, we have done so much work to get our dev env well configured so that our cloud agents can run our code in VMs, produce great demos for us, & we can trust their work & merge w/o fear. there was & still is a long tail of nitty gritty items to make this work well for external customers who have a wide diversity of dev setups. we want to make onboarding your dev env to cursor cloud as seamless as possible for everyone... so you don't have to roll your own infra just to have a great cloud agent experience try out env setup & running a cloud agent on our web app!

Starting today, you can run cloud agents inside fully configured development environments. Set them up the same way you'd set up a laptop for an engineer: cloned repos, installed dependencies, and toolchain credentials.

@cursor_ai , when I have this discount and cilck on it, I get this payment screen, but it doesn't seem to have the discount. Is this just a bug? Or I'm inelligible?
