It is my opinion that no more research dollars should go towards which colon cancer screening method is superior for patients with IBD (ie high definition white light (with multiple looks) vs narrow band imaging vs chromoendosscopy). No we don’t need more data. Use the time and money to research something else (perhaps alternatives to colonoscopy for screening because getting a colonoscopy every 1-3 years is tough). GIs are going to do what is available to them and the differences are probably negligible. If all cause mortality isn’t the outcome measure of the study, don’t do it. Stop beating a dead horse.
