@NTarnopolsky As someone who works in the old city. The kotel plaza and kotel is closed. The covered area is strictly kept to 50 or under. The covered area where they are allowing ppl is a protected area. Maybe do some actual research before you post a lie for clickbait

💥This statement from the Israeli prime minister's office can politely be termed a brazen lie. No one has stopped Jews from praying at the Western Wall or at any Old City synagogues, even those with no bomb shelters, so long as wartime guidelines are observed.
Prime Minister of Israel@IsraeliPM

As a result, Israel has temporarily asked worshippers from all faiths not to worship at the holy sites in Jerusalem’s Old City to protect them.

@academic_la There is nahal haredi: (tomer, NY, hetz and air force) and the new hasmonean brigade which is led by haredi rabbis not chabad. Chabad is throughout the army doing kiruv as chaplains just like in every part of the US military.

@academic_la You are gonna get someone killed. Stop it. Chabad houses worldwide are put in danger by your irresponsible rhetoric. Chabad has been apolitical since the start. They are also not pro-israel as a policy. Also- there is no chabad unit. Doesnt exist. At all.

Note that the IDF soldier killed today was also a Chabad member. There is an increased Chabad influence in the Israeli military. In 2025, the IDF created Chabad-specific brigade designed to accommodate the movement's strict religious standards while integrating members into the IDF. Roughly 90 Chabad rabbis currently serve as officers in the IDF, with over 20 holding the rank of Captain or higher. Considering that this a messianic organization by definition, this is highly concerning. Chabad believes in the rebuilding of the Third Temple, which would involve the destruction of the Al-Aqsa mosque.
B.M.@ireallyhateyou

One of the IDF terrorists who detained a CNN crew in the West Bank, in service of terrorist settlers, was wearing not just one, but two Chabad "Messiah" patches. Chabad is one of the most dangerous organizations currently operating around the world.

Today, @SenSanders and I introduced the Home Team Act. Too often, billionaire sports team owners are getting richer while fans and taxpayers get screwed. Our bill requires team owners to offer locals the chance to buy a team before moving it away.

Two more Israelis were killed in Ramat Gan from an Iranian attack. A major train station in Tel Aviv was destroyed. The Israeli government and military intelligence are shocked by the volume and nature of Iranian attacks: 1) While the rate of Iranian missile launches has reportedly gone down, the initial waves were massive and aimed at saturating defenses. Iran has been able to sustain a higher than expected level since. 2) Iran has used "drone swarm saturation," very similar to what Russia uses in Ukraine with considerable success. 3) Israel has faced a notable increase in the use of cluster missiles. As of March 12, 11 such missiles had penetrated air defenses, compared to only three in previous conflicts. One such strike in Beit Shemesh killed nine people. This is a problem for defense systems. 4) Beyond the reported damage at the Savidor train station in Tel Aviv, cluster munitions also struck the Holon train station. These strikes appear aimed at paralyzing civilian mobility and logistics in the Gush Dan region. 5) Investigating officials have noted a recurring issue where sirens in some areas, specifically during the initial Tel Aviv strikes, failed to provide the full 90-second warning. This technological lag has contributed to the fatalities, such as the woman killed in Tel Aviv on February 28 because she could not reach shelter in time. 6) Israeli defense officials have publicly acknowledged that even standard reinforced "Mamad" (residential secure rooms) are proving vulnerable to direct hits from Iran’s heavy 500kg ballistic warheads. This has fundamentally shaken the public’s "fortress" mentality, as demonstrated by the Beit Shemesh disaster where victims died inside a communal bunker. 7) Israelis are frustrated because they are constantly being told Iran is losing its ability to strike, yet attacks continue constantly. This has demoralized the public. Israelis are increasingly, and accurately, feeling that the government is unable to keep them safe. Instead it is constantly putting Israel at risk as part of their campaign for regional domination.

Seminaries Warn Parents: Do Not Send Girls Through Egypt After Reports of Disturbing Incidents Multiple Israeli seminaries have issued urgent warnings to parents after receiving verified reports that young women traveling through Egypt experienced frightening and, in some cases, abusive situations. In letters sent to parents, the administrations of Machon Bnos Yehuda (MBY), Machon Raaya and Tehillas Bais Yaakov said they had been informed of multiple incidents involving female travelers who attempted to leave Israel via Egypt during the current travel disruptions. According to the letters, groups of women were reportedly separated from the men traveling with them, including married women who were separated from their husbands, and subjected to distressing experiences. Some of the individuals involved have chosen not to speak publicly about what occurred but asked that others be warned. “As a result, we strongly recommend that you do not send your daughters through Egypt,” one of the letters states. The seminaries emphasized that while many students remained in Israel over Shabbos and are safe, the situation surrounding travel routes remains uncertain. Administrators urged families not to rely on information circulating in WhatsApp groups or informal chats, noting that the situation on the ground is rapidly evolving. At the same time, there are signs that regular travel routes may soon resume. The letters note that Ben Gurion Airport has begun gradually reopening, with limited flights starting to take passengers out of Israel. Seminary officials said they are closely monitoring developments and expect more travel options to become available shortly. In the meantime, they asked parents to avoid sending their daughters through Egypt or neighboring countries until safer arrangements are confirmed. Despite the travel uncertainty, administrators reassured parents that their daughters currently in Israel are safe and coping well. “Baruch Hashem, the girls are doing well,” the MBY administration wrote. “They are calm, happy, and adjusting to life in Yerushalayim under the circumstances.” Further updates are expected as additional information about flight availability and travel arrangements becomes available.
