@SLS_0x @LundukeJournal 4chan doesn't care. Everyone there is banned, including me. Including the mods. The owner is banned. The UK is banned. You are banned. They don't want you there. They don't want anyone there. Go away.

English

@LundukeJournal This macho ‘you can’t fine us’ posture misses the point: they can ignore the invoice, sure — and then watch 4chan get shut out of the UK.

English

The United Kingdom has demanded that 4chan pay a £520,000 fine for failure to comply with UK age verification laws.
However, since 4chan is based in the USA, the UK has no jurisdiction to fine Americans in America.
“As has been explained to your agency, ad nauseam, the United Kingdom lost the American Revolutionary War. We are not in the mood to discuss the matter further, and have not been in the mood for 250 years.”
The letter to the UK’s Ofcom ended by suggesting that “maybe, you could just stop sending Americans stupid letters and acknowledge the sovereignty of the United States.”
4chan’s attorney, @prestonjbyrne also included a picture of a giant hamster dressed as Godzilla.

English

We've fined 4chan £450,000 for not having age checks in place to prevent children seeing porn on its site.
The Online Safety Act is concerned with protecting people in the UK. It doesn't require platforms to restrict what people in other countries see.

@AutismCapital Oh hey, a fresh crater in an active conflict zone. Lets go stand right next to it.

@sourpatchlyds @thechosenberg Prepare for a nightly hours long lecture on engine specs and machining tolerances and if you hint that you don't like listening to it, your love isn't real. Yes, every night. Forever.

@thechosenberg Girl, run. This is not how a relationship works.

@EricJonBoerner1 @Brick_Suit Eh, that's just a big ole housecat. Leave em out an extra bucket of hotdogs and they'll leave your kids alone, mostly.

@Brick_Suit This one was in my “backyard” a couple years ago. She ate ~ 3 kids every year. Her cubs grew up and are now doing the same. Never trust a cougar…

I'm not sure why Christopher Rufo is so afraid of apex predator cougars.

Christopher F. Rufo ⚔️@christopherrufo
The craziest thing about Newsom's $100 million wildlife bridge is that it will allow cougars, an apex predator, direct access into a suburban neighborhood filled with pets, children, and the elderly. It's like the radical environmentalist version of The Purge.

@WallStreetMav Maybe Microsh1t should focus on fixing whatever they messed up with usb drivers a few updates back before worrying about which lawsuit to embarrassingly lose next.

Sam Altman just stabbed Microsoft in the back.
Microsoft owns about 25% of OpenAi and is the largest investor. The deal was, "we fund you, you use our Azure datacenters".
OpenAi just signed a $50 billion deal with Amazon Web Services.
Microsoft executives argue that a recent deal making Amazon Web Services (AWS) the "exclusive third-party cloud provider" violates the spirit, and potentially the letter, of Microsoft's exclusive partnership with ChatGPT. Under existing terms, Microsoft maintains that all access to OpenAI’s advanced models through APIs must be routed through its own Azure cloud platform.
While Microsoft has invested $13 billion in OpenAI since 2019, OpenAi was so desperate for money that they recently secured a $50 billion investment commitment from Amazon—comprising an initial $15 billion and a further $35 billion contingent on performance milestones through 2028.
So OpenAi is trying to have it both ways, getting money from Microsoft AND Amazon, claiming they are both exclusive cloud service providers.

Her name was Leonie, she was a 13-year-old Austrian girl.
While she was out with friends, 3 Afghan immigrants secretly put 11 ecstasy pills in her drink. Stunned and unable to defend herself, she was taken to the house of one of the three.
The ecstasy dose was way too high, the girl started overdosing but the 3 immigrants, completely indifferent to her suffering, began to undress her and took turns raping her, putting their hands around her neck, strangling her. All of it recorded by themselves on a mobile phone video.
That’s how Leonie died, naked, in atrocious suffering, while the beasts raped her. The autopsy would later confirm the cause of death was triple overdose and asphyxiation.
When they were done, they wrapped the body in a carpet and dumped it roadside, under a tree.
The girl’s body was found the next morning by some passers-by, wearing only her underwear and with clear strangulation marks on her neck.
One of the perpetrators fled to the United Kingdom, but was quickly tracked down in a hotel and extradited, the 3 Afghans were sentenced:
- Zubaidullah R. life imprisonment;
- Ali H. 19 years in prison;
- Ibraulhaq A. 20 years in prison.
During the closing arguments, the Public Prosecutor told the court she was “stunned” by what the defendants said throughout the proceedings, stating that “there is not a trace of remorse”.

@Blexin4christ @Osint613 That was Russia and China's gas, though we were not happy about it. The Iranian people are though, so we continue until it is done.
English

@Osint613 Israel bombs Iran's gas
Iran turns and bombs Qatar's gas
Targets Saudi Arabia.
Israel's gas remains intact
The US' gas remains untouched.
Can anybody explain what this means?
English

@data_republican It is. The algorithm responds by showing you more of what you interact with. My feed is tons of cat videos along with war footage, cars, big trucks racing, vtubers, all kinds of stuff. If I see something I don't care for I ignore it, and it goes away.

Sometimes it's hard for me to scroll down through my For You tab. There seems to be an inordinate amount of suffering, loved ones near death, terminal cancer, kids dying, etc. I'm wondering if I'm seeing so many of these posts because I always try to pray and leave a little comment or emoji. Has anyone else noticed this? I want to pray for everyone, of course, but it's very sad sometimes.

@sourpatchlyds I have called both uber and doordash support and gotten that message. Not the customer side, the contractor side, for drivers.

@DebraDough66589 @Rainmaker1973 Yes, there are 4. They hatch at the same time cause they don't start developing until the mother starts sitting on them. That's how she can lay eggs over multiple days and they all hatch within about 48 hours. Otherwise the smallest chicks would nearly always starve and die.
English

@Rainmaker1973 Am I the only one to notice the nest went from four eggs to six in one day and they all appeared to hatch at the same time? Something is not reality.
English

@AlastorCorvo13 @Mommy_Dawn_ You could condense that down to "women complicate things". I don't like my things complicated. Leave my things alone.
English

@Mommy_Dawn_ Because we don’t read “body language”
We don’t use “subtle hints”
We don’t use “hidden meanings”
We use our words to communicate
Because we’re simple creatures
Because we’re Men
Why do women have to complicate things?
Stop complaining that Men aren’t Women

@rtmurdo @spiderwebsoft All you had to do was hook up the drive as secondary, rename a couple files so the on screen keyboard button on the login screen would open task manager instead and get full access by running explorer.

Nerd Deep Housecleaning Update:
I found one of my MOST IMPORTANT POSSESSIONS.
About 20 years ago, I had some sort of software problem. To fix it, I needed some sort of a file. It contains a key OS file or authentication code or game component or something.
It was so vitally important than I copied it onto a floppy and labeled it "In Case of Emergency ..." and put it in a drawer. Neglecting, of course, to write exactly what was on it, because it was SO IMPORTANT I assumed I would never forget.
I found the disk 10 years later and had absolutely no recollection of what vital file was on it.
But I can never, ever, ever get rid of it! Because who knows ...
