@TesLatino @AndyZeGerman @ChatCharge "Stay at limit" is dangerous in many places and *extremely* dangerous in some places. That being said, I do agree with the recommendation to have direct control of offset or even exact speed to adjust for conditions.

@TesLatino @AndyZeGerman @ChatCharge Chill should be at the limit IMO. Then plus 5 increments at least. I like to do about 15 over on the highway and I can get Hurry to do it pretty consistently now.

@fentrocity @TesLatino @AndyZeGerman @ChatCharge We have a HW3 M3P and it still has the old speed controls. Our CT has HW4 and is bonkers for speed control. Always having to gas it to get up to proper speed and change mode to slow down.

@TesLatino @AndyZeGerman @ChatCharge My problem is standard is 5 over. Hurry is 15 over. I want a 7-10 over option lol. Just bring back the offset and manual selection.

We passed a flipped semi that they were in the process of uprighting today heading from Atlanta to Chattanooga. Hopefully everyone was alright. Traffic was backed up for probably 5 miles.

@GeorgeThurmon @JCChristopher Same feeling here, I put like 500 miles on it last year, I live near an Air Force Base so I think I’m gonna let it go here in the next month or two. My Z28 6 speed seems like a relic from the 1970’s when I compare it to my Tesla M3P.

@JCChristopher My manual transmission vehicle is now relegated to infrequent hauling, towing and launching. I run it sometimes just to charge the battery and my last fill up was last year. The thrill is gone unless I get loose on dirt.

I hit a milestone last night while doing Uber. I went over 50,000 miles since my last critical disengagement on Tesla FSD, which was on the last instance of version 13. I am now at 50,178 miles and counting. My last non-critical/navigational disengagement was 0.01 miles ago when FSD wouldn't reverse park properly in my home driveway.

@thecyberfam When I read the entire description from Grok, it says “a lower percentage in your vin range” which probably means folks near my vin, just haven’t driven enough to make them fail

@EdMilesNC I'd prefer it go during warranty if it's gonna go. But probably the later it goes the better the replacement will be so there's that. 🤷‍♂️

I'm getting a little concerned about this. We have a 9000 mile road trip planned with the truck later this year and getting this in the middle would be...sub-optimal Any clarity on what date range or VIN range this potentially effects or is it global? Anything we can have checked before we go to catch this early? Any other tips or info?

@BigImpactHumans Looks like I’m following your lead. 😡 Hopefully they can get me in sooner than 2 weeks.

@thecyberfam Yep I’m hoping it’s spot on, however, we don’t put as many miles on the truck as you do. So we might not see this for a few more years.

I get flipped off on the daily driving my CT in the portland area. I cannot think of the way I want to respond- but I want to. I usually am just in a state of shock (similar feeling I had when I was 12 on my bike on my paper route when a guy pulled up next to me, honked and exposed himself). I digress. I don’t want to respond with more hate, but with some kind of thought provoking statement, that cuts through it. It can’t be audible because the exchange is so fast. And it has to be clever because it must disarm. Share this so more people can help me figure this out?

Yesterday, one person reached back out, asking me to reconsider. I told him, “Going back into IT leadership will be my last act of desperation before I run out of money for food." The truth is that maybe what ends up happening. I sure hope not.
TechOperator@TechOperator

It's official. I'm out. As of yesterday, three people I know have already reached out about new IT leadership opportunities. While it's reassuring, saying no hasn’t been easy. I’m sticking to my plan, giving myself time to decompress before trying something new. The hardest part will be resisting those comfortable offers when fear and uncertainty creep in.

Absolutely—Falcon Heavy’s Mars payload capacity is ~16,800 kg (expendable) or still several tons even with full booster/core recovery. The Rosalind Franklin stack is just a couple tons, so adding a ~57 kg Optimus and ~55 kg Cyberquad is trivial mass-wise. Engineering integration and landing would be the real challenge, but capability-wise? Easily doable. Mars Tesla fleet incoming? 🚀🤖

Yes, totally workable. The Rosalind Franklin rover is ~310 kg, and even with the lander platform plus NASA-provided hardware, the total stack is just a couple tons—well inside Falcon Heavy’s Mars payload capacity (even recovering the boosters and core). Falcon Heavy is indeed a beast for this. 🚀

@thecyberfam I put white duct tape on the floor so I can back into ours then I just look on the rear camera and wait till the rear bumper cam just touches the white tape. Plus, there’s nothing to trip over like if I put something like a stopper behind the tires.
