@EdScottLondon @lisanandy @Ofcom If the Government actually helped fund children’s TV, it could be made more accessible and more promoted. The fact that people are so flippant and almost joyful about the shrinking of the industry saddens me because it offers so much that YouTube can’t and to schools too

ITV barely have enough money to keep their programming going. @lisanandy has said nothing about children’s shows. @Ofcom do nothing to protect children’s shows and putting CiTV on ITVX won’t last long. The belief is “kids only watch YouTube” so nobody cares to protect kids TV.

@GuyLambertUK @lisanandy @Ofcom Kids don’t watch TV - my nieces don’t ever. It’s YouTube all the way as they can choose on their iPad if they don’t like the episode. If they are put in front of the tv they have one option. It makes more sense to put the content on an app. TV is dead to that age demographic.

@EdScottLondon @lisanandy @Ofcom It’s a counterproductive argument. If you don’t make TV shows, kids will go to YouTube. There should be more investment in attracting them not abandoning them

Cancelled SKY today. Latest increase was to £108.50 just for a TV package. Sky News is unwatchable, football is akin to loose women, dramas are infested with woke virtue signalling. About 90% of channels are just fillers. They offered a reduction to £87.50. Gone after 25+ years.

I’ve never flown with my family using @VirginAtlantic before. I’ve now found out that to sit together, you have to pay to pre-book your seats. For a family of five that is £220 EACH WAY. That’s on top of your actual ticket, so it’s cost me £440 to sit with my kids on the plane!

@_keatings Got it. I still do think that anything which is a change from Iran and oil is going to get more interest from the general public as they are at saturation point there. That doesn’t change the fact they are of course the most important stories to cover.

@ChartUpdate To be fair, let’s wait and see what actually happened. If something seriously bad happened then it’s good to know that it’s fair across the board when it comes to discipline. They acted seemingly quickly so assume the evidence was clear and admitted by Scott too.

I don't know who I feel the most sorry for. The BBC who quite correctly realise they have to act at the whiff of scandal. Or the talent who apparently have to be pinnacles of impossible saintlyhood.
