I’m not sure who is focused on Dec pages and/or agents. But Amazon has Textract. There’s also companies like Groundspeed. I can share more ideas if you want to DM.

@GalenDShaffer As an industry we need to do better in understanding venture capital backed companies. Raised a bunch of $ doesn’t equal going to succeed. Great VCs might be right 1 of 10 times? This is a healthy part of the cycle. Lots of talented people about to get back in the game.

@SBA_Matthias Just play. Learn to play fast and know how to be ready to hit your shot. In an outing, not sure anyone cares how well you play. If you’re fast and fun to be with, you got nothing to worry about. And you will have fun instead of being nervous.

@MikeFernandezCA @NWischoff This is a fact. Put the Insurer in there as well. Too easy to say, “If there’s an issue then that is what insurance is for.” GC margins too thin. Developers “leave it to the builder.” Misaligned incentives.

@NWischoff The complexity around “Who is the real buyer?” (E.g. developer, GC, subs, etc) and their ability to actually deploy a product is what I find most challenging about the space.

Used to think there weren't enough startups building in the construction space given how few were "on the map". Realizing the bigger issue is that almost zero VC firms understand the space well enough to invest in it.

Lemonade recently made 2 insurance announcements I found interesting in an InsurTech & strategic perspective. Here are my thoughts / questions I'm wondering about:

@hedgequote I get the sentiment. But it’s SO early. Feels like the conversation has flipped too hard. A few high profile players certainly in trouble. But lots of good work happening out there.

#Insurtech is nothing more than an effort to more efficiently link direct and indirect stakeholders across the Insurance Industry. I'd submit it covers podcasts all the way through API and everything in between.
