.@TheMasters has always operated on one rule: you come to us. No phones. Dress codes. A lottery most people never win. The scarcity was the point, it’s what created the magic there. This year, I feel like the Augusta National is walking a thin line between maintaining the mythology while slowly selling the thing that made the mythology worth having. There’s a version of growing the game that still respects the game. Rory chasing a career Grand Slam is compelling television. A 20 year-old amateur paired with the world’s best is a story. Kelce eating a sandwich on the fairway while patrons stare in awkward silence is not. The people who truly love and respect the Masters don’t need to be told why it matters. And the people who don’t know yet deserve to find out the same way the rest of us did, through the golf and golf alone.

@GLegit99 @Clemson_Addict @TreyBellamy12 Problem Clemson has is not the 20 million from Rev Sharing it's the BIG dollar donors. That base is very small compared to the schools they recruit against. And then it the way Dabo wants to like or hate it.

Other schools offer six figures up front. Dabo keeps refusing to do that. Making them “earn it” & giving NIL dollars to the older guys on the roster. Love the idea. In a perfect world that’s how it should be. Terrible way to go about it in the reality of CFB today.

@jamierkennedy I 1st went in 1969 on Wednesday. It was 5.00$ walk up cost. And few more times on Wednesdays and tournament days. But the course is the best looking on Wednesdays.

Observations from Wednesday at Augusta... 1. I’ve been asking people to guess what percentage of the fans on-site are wearing AT LEAST one item of Masters clothing. I think it’s 64 percent. Mad when you think it’s only on sale here. 2. Also wild you can immediately ship all your shopping home. Asked one woman, she said she just dropped off three large bags and a gnome to be shipped by to New York. Cost $100 and will be there before she gets home on Friday. 3. Augusta is very calm and oddly quiet. Players don’t get cheers or claps (unless they do something silly good) and there's not a lot of fan interaction. Even arriving on tees, it’s eerily quiet. 4. The 7th green is nuts. Wide but narrow, tonnes of movement. It's like a kids skatepark. Probably the green I've seen the players studying the closest. 5. The practice area is an underrated viewing spot. The range is obviously insanely beautiful but there’s interesting shots, loads of players, putting green, two chipping areas. 6. Watched Lowry hit a high, driver cut over the trees on 10. Can’t imagine that’s the play but wow, what a shot to see in person. 7. Never been to the par 3 contest before. Went today. First shot I saw was an ace. Thanks Keegan. 8. Morikawa is not healthy. Surprised he’s going to play honestly, watching him stretch and wince with his injured back. 9. There should 100% be an “overheard at Augusta” Twitter account. It would be an incredible follow this week. My favourite so far was a guy immediately regretting his spend in the shop. A guy near him asked how much he spent? He said “more than you think”, the other guy responded “Well I spent $3,500”, to which the regretful guy replied “double it”.

I am half with you. I 100% agree with in person voting. The only absentee should be soldiers. Sad, but I don't want to hear about old people in nursing homes, out of state work, out of state students. If voting is that important to you, get your ass home. But, I like early, in-person voting. It keeps the lines down and allows you more freedom to work it into a schedule. I'm afraid 1-day only voting would lead to long lines and people just choosing not to go.

I’m a simple guy so maybe I’m missing something. Absentee ballots should be extremely rare, people should show up in person to vote with ID, Election Day should be a Federal Holiday, and every county should have enough locations to vote. I don’t get it.

Go support your local minor league ballpark. I’m at the Knoxville Smokies game. Payed $20 for tickets behind home plate and beers are only $5. High level baseball being played as well. Minor league baseball is possibly the best value in sports.

Automatic selective service registration makes the system more efficient - it does NOT constitute a formal DRAFT (which requires an Act of Congress). But just to be clear, the same MAGA people who oppose automatic voter registration are fine with automatic draft registration.
