@GiaMMacool It's not just the physical shape and the number. It's also the effort and the passion. There are plenty of women and men in the gym that are 25 lb overweight but are consistently trying and getting better at their craft be it cardio weightlifting Combat Sports whatever.

I applaud this man for speaking up.👏🏻 We need more people willing to speak up and let their spouse know their needs and wants in a relationship. And this is not just a woman issue. Men do this too. I’ve seen plenty of men gain weight, lose discipline, and let themselves go over time. Those who let this happen, had poor eating habits before marriage Youth and lack of life stress hide the outcome That is why you need to recognize these patterns before marriage, because habits often grow worse over time. The solution is, make it clear this is a deal breaker. Then get serious about fitness yourself, remove all the foods and bad habits out of the home, and create an environment that supports change. Also set clear standards, real consequences, and a timeline. Expectations without accountability usually change nothing.

But if they're not a part of the group that is trying to fix their situation, then they don't get to reap and destroy the fruits of societies labor. And agree..gtf away from kids.

Please spread the idea. It seems to work quite well... An animal shelter posted something along the lines of, "If you are an adult, we will rent our shelter dogs to you for $5 an hour... So it looks like you are walking your own dog. " Haha, right? Here are some of the results so far: 1) They now have a waiting list of people who want to PAY FOR THE PRIVILEGE OF WALKING A DOG. 2) They have made so much money in "rental fees" that they have waived adoption fees. 3) When the people renting the dogs are out walking, they post selfies of themselves walking "their" dog on FB, Instagram, dating sites and the others. People are then coming back to the shelter asking to adopt the specific dogs they've already gotten to know. 4) On at least two occasions, people have called the shelter and said, "Hey, i didn't think I even wanted a dog. But me and THIS dog get along REALLY well. I'm not bringing him back." 5) This particular shelter currently has no dogs available to rent, and there is a waiting list. Because all of the dogs have been adopted!! They are currently bringing dogs in from a different shelter to be "rented." A good idea to recharge from 2016

@YIMBYLAND They can build a train but, since almost nobody is going from downtown Austin to downtown San Antonio, it won't have many riders. 99%+ of people on that route would need a car at one end or, more likely, both.

@YIMBYLAND No. We need to do a 10-year study to determine that. Then we need to cancel that wait 5 years and then do another 10-year study to see if it makes sense. Efficiency
