AI is the most important technology shift of our lifetime and it’s almost impossible to keep up with. I’m going to try to make that easier. Follow along if you want sharp takes on what’s happening in AI and what it means for business. No hype. No fear. Just signal.

@Polymarket Unfortunately this is not surprising. I feel like we will start to see this more and more with SaaS companies who focus in one niche. Their product and entire business model will now need to rival a feature update from the AI labs.

Real business presentations demand more than good design. Meet Perceptis AI - built for people who win on their thinking, not their templates. A prompt becomes a boardroom-ready, editable PPT deck. Grounded in real research and structured like top‑tier consulting deliverable.

@afc I totally agree with this. Anthropic isn’t in the business of building and doing everything… they are in the business of building and doing what their core mission is. And any resources or focus that deviates away from that core mission is a distraction.

Anthropic, one of the most innovative companies in the world, is using Qualtrics, which was founded in 2002, as its survey tool for Cowork users. Anthropic's core business is building the world's leading models, not survey tools. While they could do it, why spend the time and resources? Hard to imagine a world where companies in-house a significant part of 3rd-party apps, simply because they want to focus on what their business does best.

From a macro level perspective, wouldn’t you think increase in competition will continue to keep or drive down pricing? I understand the argument of these major corporations needing to turn toward a path of profitability, but it just feels to me like AI, as with other technological advancements, will trend towards lowering pricing in the short and long term

AI about to get 20x expensive. These $200 / month claude subscriptions are burning $5,000 worth of credits. The bubble is going to pop and it will pop soon.

@blinkdotnew What is the security behind the tool? Very interesting to see so many tools enter this space, but the tool that will win with Enterprises is the one that guarantees the most long term security.

If you are going to read one article today, let it be this one. So often we see articles written about the marco level AI statistics that appear to only be optimistic. Reading articles backed by data in a more pessimistic light can help ground closer to a potential reality/middle ground.

@GoogleLabs @stitchbygoogle Figma Make is in trouble with this. Being fully integrated into the Google Suite will allow for this product, regardless of how well it performs, to gain serious marketshare in design and prototyping. Really like the new tool!

This is a truly one of a kind study to dig in deeper to how people use AI and their sentiment around AI. I love that Anthropic uses their platform to publicly share this type of research 🦾
Anthropic@AnthropicAI

We invited Claude users to share how they use AI, what they dream it could make possible, and what they fear it might do. Nearly 81,000 people responded in one week—the largest qualitative study of its kind. Read more: anthropic.com/features/81k-i…

Do we think it is too little too late? Anthropic has readily handled the Enterpise market while also organically making serious strides in Consumer. It is on thing to make a pivot, but if the company itself doesn’t have clear direction at its core, how can any individual or company feel confident that the business model will be successful long term?

I am not sure "Forward Deployed AI Engineers" are going to deliver on what a lot of companies are hoping for. They are useful, yes, but AI applications are far less of a technical issue, and much more about rethinking the deep expertise & structure of your organization around AI.

I think this main issue is the usability of the models. With Cowork, Skills, Plugins and Arifiacrs being so easy to use in Claude, it does make it feel like the model is better even when it might not be. Once the UX for OpenAI improves, I do agree the head to head comparison will be much closer than people think.

GPT is smarter than Claude. There, I said it. When it comes to a big strategic business or life decision, I trust GPT 5.4 over Opus 4.6. Best combo: I use GPT for strategy, and Opus for execution.

@_kaitodev @karpathy I think an additional layer to consider is timeline. I definitely think there is merit to the graphic, but understanding the timing on this disruption will be a major factor in how AI transformation impacts different occupations.

5 minutes ago, @karpathy just dropped karpathy/jobs! he scraped every job in the US economy (342 occupations from BLS), scored each one's AI exposure 0-10 using an LLM, and visualized it as a treemap. if your whole job happens on a screen you're cooked. average score across all jobs is 5.3/10. software devs: 8-9. roofers: 0-1. medical transcriptionists: 10/10 💀 karpathy.ai/jobs
