The Oklahoma Senate advanced a bill that would make it easier to buy and use fireworks in the state. Current state law only allows licensed retailers to sell fireworks during specific weeks, namely from June 15 until July 6 or the first Sunday after July 4 – whichever is later – and from December 15 until January 2 each calendar year. Senate Bill 1948 would remove those time restrictions for firework sales. The bill’s author, Sen.
