So many people missing the point. Patching FSD loophole is fine and they did in 2026.8.6 but for people that didn’t update the car they marked the car config in cloud as “never owning legal traffic awareness cruise and not available FSD” This took away a functionality that we paid 8k for and shows precedent of abuse. This functionality that was legal to use and is still being sold was just disabled to remove the loophole on old software. Next time you are speeding, remember that if they don’t like it they will take away your front engine or horse power. They can and they showed they are willing to.

Who do I ask for FSD package refund? I paid 8k EUR extra during my car purchase for traffic aware cruise control, and this was now stolen away from me. I would like the refund please. @teslaeurope @Tesla @elonmusk It's my car, I do not want to update it

@bartosz Tesla fagboyz will go to any lengths to justify anything, it's really simple, like with any product that you buy and add stuff, it's at your own risk, if voids the warranty or it's not legal but this is not the case here, I hate to say it but it's your fault for buying this "car"

Imagine if Audi would do “we don’t like the new suspension/exhaust” you added so we disabled your climate control that you paid for. I paid for FSD, I put third party mod on a thing (car) that I own. Tesla doesn’t like it so now 8k€ spent on FSD (in EU it means traffic lights aware cruise control) was disabled. What’s next @elonmusk ? We don’t like you speeding, we took your Boost package? We don’t like the wrap you put on the car, auto park was disabled for your car. Can I get refund of the FSD now please @teslaeurope ? I don’t want to update the car, it’s not safety you are worried about, do I own the car or do I not? Where do I send my bank account for the 8k€ refund since you disabled it? The car thinks I don’t have the FSD anymore yet my bank account is 8k € out of pocket.

@bartosz @Tesla Allowing an unverified and unknown device to send CAN messages on the same network used by any of the cars safety systems is clearly a safety issue. I’m surprised they don’t just brick the car until it’s removed, given the potential liability issues.

Do you truly own a car, a @tesla, if installing third party devices is not approved. Should I ask permission to change wheels? If I want to tint windshield, is it ok or am I risking loosing Boost package? Asking for a friend

You can install too loud exhaust and I wouldn’t expect to loose speakers functionality. They blocked FSD and it’s fine. But they ALSO stolen a paid for legal in eu “traffic lights awareness for basic auto pilot”. I paid 8k for that. How is that ok? Questionably regulated feature that’s not legal everywhere? Like non compliant exhaust? Like lack of DPF filter? Should that allow Audi to disable heated seats?

@bartosz If you modify a questionably regulated feature that's not legal everywhere of a vehicle that drives the car around other people by itself, you should expect restrictions. I like modifying vehicles, but even I know that wouldn't be allowed.

@AndroDevs Why not? It was working great. Then they patched the loophole. Sure. But they also took a legal functionality that I paid 8k for.

@bartosz So you installed something that can interact via the CANBUS with the various ECUs in the car and SURPRISE Telsa did something about it. Well, no shit. Does Tesla know this device can't interact with the autopilot computer? They don't. This reads like you're an idiot.

@bartosz What happens if you using illegally FSD kill someone? You are complaining for something illegal you did, that could backfire Tesla as EU doesnt peemit FSD, doesnt matter if you steal from tesla or not

Not enough willingness from me to do that just spreading the message that if anyone was thinking Tesla would never , then we have a precedent that they would ever :) They will take your paid for stuff away if they don’t like how you modded a car. Bad spoiler they don’t like? Boost paid for gone !

@bartosz Report them to your local consumer watchdog. Also you could try pressing charges for fraud, given how it's €8k that's criminal level of fraud too.

You are right about FSD. But I got access to a LEGAL feature of traffic lights awareness. This was 8k eur. This was taken away (stolen). Poof gone. I don’t have it. Others have it in EU. Is this not a theft? If they take next time Boost that you pay for because you put a magnet on your steering wheel is this not theft?

@bartosz Modifying the way the car transmits CAN messages to get functionality that hasn’t been granted to you is theft. If Tesla hasn’t enabled FSD on your car it means you don’t have a license to run it.

@bartosz You're messing with a feature on a self-driving program. That's a little different than tinkering with performance on an internal combustion engine, which both Audi and VW will flag, these days, anyway. Moreover, you knew Teslas phoned home all the time.

@TeslaStars And so adding third party device allows Tesla in your opinion to block any other functions? Should they disable Boost for people that added not authorised devices?

@bartosz This is only for people who had FSD package on their cars and used a hacking device to activate it in countries where it’s not allowed yet

@cristian The issue is not disabled FSD. That’s fair game. The problem is that took away legal and paid for feature of traffic lights awareness that I paid 8k for and was and is working fine. Except on my car that paid for it. How is that ok?

@bartosz Self-driving is a very complex piece of software connected to countless other parts of the vehicle. Developers can’t anticipate everything an owner might modify on the car, It seems perfectly reasonable to me that FSD would be disabled if you want to tune your car.

It’s all gonna be unsupervised in v13 trust me bro. Nah it’s v14 we just need some more time. I meant v14.3 is missing puzzle! Forget it v15 is the goat 🤣
