🚨AMERICAN CITIZENS NEED HELP EVACUATING🚨 If we can get more planes or get money for more planes, we can evacuate every single remaining American. I left Israel last night on a rescue flight full of Americans. I originally went to the Middle East because there was a South Carolina family who was stranded. And because when your people are stranded in a war zone getting hit with missiles and rockets, the only answer worthy of the office - worthy of our country - is to get them out. I have not slept. Not eaten much. And seen things. I am grateful for every exhausting moment of it. There are those who govern from a distance - who weigh the optics or wait for the situation to resolve itself - and then there are those who get on a plane. I am the person who has always gotten on the plane. The family I traveled here for are safely home. But then I learned about more families. Hundreds of families. Thousands. Still stranded. Whom Grey Bull Rescue and others are helping. Grey Bull has been evacuating Americans. This was their 808th mission. They got out 155 Americans yesterday, families with infants and students. They had the people but didn’t have the plane. I jumped in to get the plane (Thank you State Dept, Embassy Jordan, Israel and Greece). Seeing this conflict firsthand reminds you of what's at stake when the world becomes dangerous and leadership becomes a question of character, not convenience. Tonight I am grateful. And I will never forget what I saw. What I learned. And the Americans who volunteered to help their fellow Americans, and those who are serving our nation patriotically tonight and always.

@romathio @StateDept I'm in SE Asia, but I hope you stay safe. I would imagine with airspace closures there's really nothing the state department can do at the moment. Hopefully airspace opens up soon and after a few days of clearing backlog things settle back to normal. In Qatar at least, Iran noway

@romathio @StateDept You have to either add the actual + symbol before the 1 or remove the 1 if calling from the states. That’s a country code and the + is part of it. This post should be more clear if that’s the issue. One of those options should work for you.

@CNN @Elex_Michaelson I’m a US citizen in Qatar. The embassy here knows nothing about an order to evacuate. Official STEP information to us is to shelter in place. I’ve called the Doha embassy & US phone number. They all say shelter in place. We have no way to leave and no help.

How the hell do we leave Qatar when the airport is closed?! I called the embassy here in Doha and they know nothing about this post!
