The cat is already out of the bag with AI for significantly stronger mass surveillance. Anthropic being based is a bandaid: now a market opportunity for another company to fill this gap.
The durable counterweight here is accelerating the capabilities and access to tech that equip the individual against censorship and coercion. I really hope to see these tools advance in tandem with AI.
