Remembering a #BravestOfTheBrave #LestWeForgetIndia🇮🇳 Captain Harshan R Ashoka Chakra (P) 2 PARA (SF) (Tribe Predators) The gallant #IndianBrave made the supreme sacrifice #OnThisDay 20 March in 2007, in a fierce gun battle at Lolab, Jammu & Kashmir. Capt Harshan's unit was operating in the terrorist-infested area of Baramulla in J&K. On 07 March 2007 the Brave eliminated two terrorists singlehandedly in an encounter at Kaingur Nar On 19 March 2007, Capt Harshan’s unit received information about the presence of terrorists in a village in Baramulla district. It was decided to launch an operation in the night to flush out the terrorists. On 19/20 March 2007, Capt Harshan along with his troops cordoned off the area surrounding the suspected house. At about 3:50 am, four terrorists holed up inside the house, tried to break free from the cordon by rushing out and firing indiscriminately. Capt Harshan shot dead the leader of the terrorist group, but in the exchange of fire, he received a bullet on his thigh. Despite his injury, he battled on and killed one more terrorist. He was shot in the neck but he still lobbed a grenade and injured the third terrorist. Capt Harshan later succumbed to his injuries, while his team neutralised the remaining two terrorists. Capt Harshan led from the front like a true military leader and laid down his life in the service of the Nation. He was awarded with the #AshokaChakra (Posthumous). #LestWeForgetIndia🇮🇳 his father, Shri K Radhakrishnan received the gallantry award from then President, Smt. Pratibha Patil during the 59th Republic Day Parade on 26 January 2008. 🏵

An Open letter to Indian Media and @MEA Dear Indian media, If you can grill India non‑stop on the Vikas Yadav–Pannun case, you can also question the US on what its own citizens are doing near our borders. This selective courage is exactly why trust is collapsing. NIA has arrested 7 foreign nationals – 6 Ukrainians and 1 American – who allegedly came to India on valid visas, went to Mizoram, slipped into Myanmar, and sourced drones from Europe for “suspicious activities.” How is this not a prime‑time story? Western volunteers – including Americans and British – are openly training and fighting alongside anti‑coup forces in Myanmar. One American fighter is even planning teams of ex-soldiers from the US, UK, Canada, and Australia to “train” rebels. And our media has… moved on? All this is happening right next to India’s northeast. Myanmar’s instability is not abstract for us – it means:more refugee inflow more arms and drug routes more tensions in Manipur and Mizoram This is India’s security, not a distant foreign story. The US lectures the world on “counter‑terrorism” and “rule of law” while its own citizens join armed groups in conflict zones – from Syria to Ukraine to now Myanmar. Is it not fair to ask: What oversight does Washington have on its citizens fighting abroad? So why aren’t Indian journalists asking, on record, at US briefings:Are American citizens involved in training rebels in Myanmar?What steps is the US taking to stop this?How does this square with its global anti‑terror posture? These are basic, legitimate questions. This is not about being “anti‑US.” This is about being pro‑journalism and pro‑India. If Indian media can amplify every allegation against India, it should also show spine when foreign nationals from powerful countries are linked to conflicts that hit our own borders. Dear editors and anchors: Don’t just debate “Indian agencies under global scrutiny.” Also ask: Why are American and other Western citizens showing up in Myanmar’s war – and what does that mean for India?
