For whatever reason, I decided to read American Psycho last week.
Imagine my surprise to find that the lead sociopathic character, Patrick Bateman, idolizes Donald Trump.
The book mentions Trump dozens of times.
It was published in 1991.

Before Trump’s war the Strait of Hormuz was open, sanctions were in place, and gas was $2.39.

“The greatest con in history” only happens because Tim Dillon and many people in his world first believed the initial con Trump delivered when he entered politics, which is the idea of “fake news”.
Anti-establishment, contrarian sentiment across all political stripes became the de facto ideology for seemingly everyone overnight in the last decade.
Mainstream media isn’t fake. It’s biased. Its sensational. It’s corporate. It’s imperfect. It is partisan and selective in what it tells you and withholds. But mainstream media present plenty of best-known facts at a given moment that we have.
So, once you discredit the refs. Once you say there are no such thing as fact checkers, then you can disregard that such a thing as a fact even exists.
The “fake news” told you Trump was a con artist. But you didn’t listen because he conned you on the outset.
Now, you’re like Joe Rogan, who literally is just counting the days until AI is the only authority for truth and will run the world, because you convinced yourself all the experts and scientists and doctors and nerds and professionals were all wrong about everything because believing evidently that this one guy was the greatest liar and con man of all time meant that had a mental disorder called Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Hey @mehdirhasan, I’m 78yrs beyond the “Does Israel have a right to exist”question. Israel DOES exist, and Israel ALWAYS WILL exist. The only question that matters now is - Will the Arab/Muslim world accept Israel’s existence? If they do, there’ll be peace. If they don’t, there’ll be war. So if you wanna be useful Mehdi, go ask Arab/Muslims in the region that question.
