As thousands packed Fifth Avenue waving Israeli flags, Gov. Kathy Hochul, Sen. Chuck Schumer, Attorney General Letitia James, and New York Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman all took part. Mamdani's absence quickly became a political flashpoint, with critics accusing Mamdani of turning his back on New York's Jewish community amid record levels of antisemitism.

The biggest loser today was our Mayor Zohran Mamdani. Another rookie error. So many New Yorkers of Jewish heritage and others came together on a beautiful Sunday to just have a pleasant day. To enjoy the parade. The Mayor chose to play politics and appease his DSA base who hates Jews and Israel as a whole. Well- it did not work. Congrats to NYC today, congrats to PC Tisch and her team, and all the people who attended.
