💢 Firer erupt at Neot Hovav industrial zone as Iran responds to Israeli strikes
A fire has broken out at Israel’s Neot Hovav industrial zone south of Beersheba, as Iran responds to Israeli attacks on its industrial sites, including heavy damage caused to its two main steel plants.
The complex is Israel’s main chemical hub, housing major plants run by Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, ICL Group, and Adama Agricultural Solutions, producing pharmaceuticals, bromine, and pesticides. It also contains the country’s central hazardous waste treatment facility.
Israeli outlet Channel 12 News reports a “hazardous materials incident” has been declared as a precaution, with residents receiving emergency alerts.
Fires at the site risk igniting or releasing toxic industrial substances. The scale of secondary blasts has also fueled concerns about a possible gas leak.

Almost all of Iran’s ballistic missile fire is directed at population centers—often using cluster munitions that are inherently indiscriminate. US and Israeli strikes are aimed at military and strategic targets. You wouldn’t know that from much of the international media.
