How come the official @NotionHQ @ChatGPTapp app/connector only has search and fetch vs the full read/write capabilities of the Notion MCP server? 🤔

@SamuelBeek Better than Canva for presentations. Use ChatGPT to come up with outline and talking points. Pop it into @GammaApp…slide deck done. Works for LinkedIn carousels and other marketing material too.

So strange: I'm obsessed with decks, but I've never met anyone that uses gamma, who uses them? what makes it great?

Today, as shared by The New York Times, we’re announcing two things: >Our Series B at a $2.1B valuation led by @sarahdingwang at @a16z. >Reaching $100M ARR, profitably, with a team of just 50 people. That's $2M ARR per employee. PowerPoint was invented before the first website, before the Game Boy, before the Berlin Wall fell. But Gamma, and our 70 million users, are proof that an AI-native company can disrupt a category everyone assumed was won. 30 million gammas are created every single month, as we fight hard to become a new standard for communication. But we’re not stopping. We’re expanding our plans for businesses. We’re building out a full visual storytelling platform. And today, we’re releasing our API to the general public. So you can plug Gamma into wherever work happens. And to celebrate, we’re also sharing our first ever prompt guide backed by research into how our most successful users use Gamma to automate presentations, websites, and content in minutes.

this is very cool. a lot of people at @every use and like gamma. honest question: if you're making $2m / employee, profitable, and growing extremely quickly why raise a big round at all? what makes it worth the dilution? asking for a friend

I'm addicted to @cursor_ai "plan" mode. So enjoyable to analyze code quickly and make a good plan before letting it rip more confidently.

@pizzaboy You don’t have to allow credit cards for invoices. You can do bank transfers and the fees are at least bearable.

I don’t understand these service based business who still use Stripe. Just invoice clients and go bank to bank, why are you spending thousands on avoidable fees?

@simonecanciello Without funding announcements, there’s no public celebration of success for private self-funded companies.

why do ppl keep sharing revenues online? unless you want: > sell a course > get internet clout > wake up with 10 copycats i’m genuinely curious (not hating, marc’s a cool guy).

Bye Bye fake MRR screenshots 👋 I built TrustMRR.com, the database of verified startup revenues. 1. Upload a read-only Stripe API key 2. Get a free page showing your verified revenue 3. And a nice dofollow backlink as a bonus There's no way to game the system. It's all running on my server, and users can't edit the revenue data. + It comes with the leaderboard of startups with the most revenue in the last 30 days. Go get verified!

I gotta give it to Marc. Ships like a madman. Even though Stripe is coming out with their own version Marc struck while the iron is hot.

The folks at @googlecalendar needs to do something about unsolicited meeting spam. How many times do I need to report as spam? Also, why would I do business someone that invades my personal space like this?

@mwseibel The trend of highly produced funding announcement videos is getting pretty obnoxious. Same with all the flexing of how they’re spending on offices and lifestyle. Just burning cash left and right.

It would be such a flex if startups replaced posting fundraising videos with posting revenue milestones.

The #1 criteria for my browser is that I trust it, and it’s secure. It’s logged into my email, Stripe account, stores my passwords and credit cards. A browser is useful if it does all these. These AI browsers are interesting but… with prompt injections, no way I trust them…

@euboid @ferndeskhq We may not be your ICP, but IMO being the “AI help desk” seems like a difficult proposition. Help centers are not something that businesses like switching often.

Should I add a free tier to @FerndeskHQ? Pros: - Powered by marketing - Extra SEO juice (especially with today’s update 👀) - Can A/B test funnel at scale - Increased word of mouth Cons: - Will attract users outside my ICP (solo founders, hobbyists) - 90% of people who sign up will probably never pay. - Support will get brutal over time. - Skewed metrics (activation, retention etc) - I don’t have a large team The biggest pro is powered by marketing. It takes forever to compound but once it does it becomes a huge lever. Apart from that, it’ll give me a huge SEO advantage which I’ll need if I’m shooting to become THE AI help center. But the biggest problem is it’ll become such a pain in the long run. I want to keep a lean team for as long as possible, and this could jeopardize that. Thoughts?

If you're struggling to talk to customers, here's what's working for me. Offer to pay for their time. I offer a ~$30 gift card for a 30 minute call. It shows that you value their time, and that you care deeply about your product. Also, most people decline anyways...
