@MTA @NYCTSubway this map is terrible. The old map is infinitely better. Landmarks and streets along with a map that at least resembles the geographic reality is better. Stop trying to make us the same as every other subway. We are different. We are better.

@MTA @NYCTSubway why isn't there a free transfer between Queens Plaza and Queensboro Plaza? It's less of a walk than Lex/59th and F at 63rd, and connects so many lines.

@ManowarElves 4k is referring to the horizontal resolution. The article specifically states that ultrawides are 1440p but wider. That's false. 3840x1600 is a 4k class ultrawide. Most Hollywood films will play at native resolution on those screens, without cropping or stretching, native.

@adayforgotten Around 6.1 million pixels compared to 8.3 million - that's a big difference!

@ManowarElves digitaltrends.com/computing/stop… You incorrectly state there are no 4k ultrawide screens. This is factually false. LG, Acer, and Dell have all made 38 inch 3840x1600 (4k horizontal resolution) ultrawide monitors for years (I bought the Acer way back in 2017).

@AMCTheatres I just saw Oppenheimer 70mm IMAX and the experience at your theater was abysmal. The exit lighting on either side of the screen is blue and so bright as to light the entire screen during dark scenes. There was an unreasonable amount of dust and debris on screen.

@MTA @NYCTSubway hey MTA. 12 minute gaps during daytime not overnight hours when there's no issue is not an acceptable level of service. It reduces the ability to rely on transfers to make complex journeys.

@MTA @LIRR I can't remember the last time I rode a train that had windows that were transparent. This one is so bad, you can't even read the station names on the signs when we pull in.

@TrackrTrain what's up with Staten Island railroad? It's either nearly completely lit or completely dark all the time for the past week.

@benheck N95 masks work when they're worn properly and make an effective seal against the face. If you aren't exerting yourself (like physical activity), there is no meaningful effect in the ability to breathe. I haven't had a cold or covid, or any other sickness in three years.

I wish clinics would stop with this mask nonsense. They don't work. They're just talismans. The fact that people of science force you to wear a placebo pisses me off. But I guess the medical industry has to keep their scam going.
