Some people think that once the Secretary of Homeland Security says TPS for Haitians, Venezuelans, or Somalis ends, they instantly become illegal aliens who must be deported immediately. Not quite, but close... TPS is temporary protection. When it terminates, those beneficiaries revert to whatever status they had before - usually unlawfully present. They are typically given time to leave or seek other relief, and courts often issue stays during litigation. The key point remains: they were never supposed to stay permanently. They were given temporary shelter because of conditions in their home country that the Secretary has now determined no longer exist. They never should have been given home loans, bank accounts, or benefits. No matter what Governor DeWine says- they have done nothing but damage to our economy and culture. American immigration law has clear rules and processes. THEY ALL MUST GO BACK. Temporary means temporary.
