Happy birthday to the Republican Party!
Formally organized in Ripon, Wisconsin. The Republican Party was formed by Anti-slavery activists, former Whigs, Free-Soilers, and others opposed to the Kansas-Nebraska Act gathered to form the new party, which would soon rise to prominence with figures like Abraham Lincoln.

Today, Senator @JAKeyser and I asked AG @Raul_Labrador for a legal opinion on Idaho's Child Care Program after @IDHW admitted in writing it lacks statutory authority. Minnesota just lost billions to childcare fraud. Idaho's program is structurally identical. Don't build Minnesota in Idaho.

My digital ID bill passed the committee today. This bill is to ensure statutory limits and privacy protections surrounding any digital ID programs, that government can't require digital ID, and that physical ID's remain the legal form of identification.
In short, this legislation ensures that technology does not become a condition of participation in public life in Idaho.

Never forget Kamala Harris opposed voter ID because she said it’s “almost impossible” for rural Americans to make photocopies. That’s what today’s Democrat Party thinks of hardworking Americans. Completely out of touch.

Florida's SB 1722 - the App Store Accountability Act - was heard yesterday in the Senate Commerce & Tourism Committee. This is the de facto Digital ID policy masquerading as a way to "protect children and empower parents" that is making it's way around the country and even at a federal level. It is a bad policy that will impact EVERYONE, not just kids. These age verification policies will not stop at the App Store - they will creep into every aspect of our lives. This was the longest I've ever been able to speak to a legislative committee. I appreciated the opportunity to give them more information. I believe many had concerns, but the Political Industrial Complex does not allow for slowing things down and making informed, responsible decisions that will forever change our lives. They committee voted unanimously to pass the bill out of committee. Also want to give a shoutout to .@statelinx for his kind remarks in his testimony that follows mine in this video.

Two weeks into the Sangin deployment, Sgt Tawney stepped on an IED. The blast mangled him. He suffered a bilateral amputation of his legs, lost some of his digits, and had a broken arm. Sgt. Ian Tawney was KIA on October 16th 2010. Rest In Peace Hero 🇺🇸

We have frozen all child care payments to the state of Minnesota. You have probably read the serious allegations that the state of Minnesota has funneled millions of taxpayer dollars to fraudulent daycares across Minnesota over the past decade. Today we have taken three actions against the blatant fraud that appears to be rampant in Minnesota and across the country: 1. I have activated our defend the spend system for all ACF payments. Starting today, all ACF payments across America will require a justification and a receipt or photo evidence before we send money to a state. 2. Alex Adams and I have identified the individuals in @nickshirleyy's excellent work. I have demanded from @GovTimWalz a comprehensive audit of these centers. This includes attendance records, licenses, complaints, investigations, and inspections. 3. We have launched a dedicated fraud-reporting hotline and email address at childcare.gov Whether you are a parent, provider, or member of the general public, we want to hear from you. We have turned off the money spigot and we are finding the fraud. @ACFHHS @HHSGov
